    Cafepress (our merch provider) doesn't offer any patches, so anything we'd have to do would be from someone else. I certainly have nothing the against idea, but if someone else could do the legwork on this one, it'd help me out greatly.

    Don't want to be a jerk here, but we'd like to dole out the "annual" type events around here. That way, we can set up prizes and stuff .... we promise to do the haiku night soon tho.

    Probably BBQ Nachos ... Not my favorite meal, but my skills in the kitchen reiterate the fact that I'm blessed to be married to someone who can cook quite well.

    Honestly, I don't see any favorites right now... Gross has been playing out of necessity (Gwynn injury, No Cameron, Kapler banged up), and the regulars have been getting pretty heavy work. I would have said that Joe Dillon smacks of the type of guy Yost might trust too much, but he's been seeing precious little time.

    If Sheeter doesn't hit the DL, I'd have to think Manny would get the demotion. It would probably be the easiest way to control his innings, which would be the silver lining there. And yeah, Yo's supposed to start on Sunday.

    I suppose I could see Sabathia getting moved if the Indians fell way out of contention before the deadline, since it sounds like they're not going to be able to re-sign him. To get him, you'd probably have to give up Laporta.

    I guess I trust in Mike Maddux enough that if he thinks he can do something with Weaver, he can. Although, I'd just be fine with us never having to find that out.

    This transaction gets my official "meh" of semi-approval.

    We're in the strange position now where our cast-offs are getting playing time with other teams who are out of contention (Eveland, Sarfate), whereas we used to be the bottom feeders. There are, as a result, going to be the "ones that got away".

    The novelty of the Wii has worn off on me as well. The thing about it is, though, is that I hesitate it to lump it in with the 360 and the PS3 as a traditional console. Where it really shines, is pulling in people who wouldn't ordinarily game. It's always the biggest hit when for example we have a party at work.

    Generally, I've found that if a team puts you on waivers, they're not real committed on keeping you. Personally, I'd declare free agency once you clear waivers, but I hate giving that kind of advice out without knowing the situation on a level which I currently don't.
