    Duke was a soft-tosser that the league caught up to. Cueto's got a decent fastball (95 mph) with great movement and a deceptive delivery. I think he's going to be a #2-#3-type starter for quite a while. You never know, though.

    I think it's extremely thoughtful of you to take this so seriously. I would go the absentee ballot route with him. We all have varying degrees of intelligence and all of our voices should be heard. I think if you explain the issues that you think are important to him and do your best to explain where each candidate stands, you're doing a great job.

    Most wal-marts and some grocery stores have a bin where you can throw all your used plastic bags. My city requires me to put recyclable paper in paper bags, so I probably get half paper/half plastic.

    You could ask the same question by asking if the Red Sox were scared of Baltimore. While it's always bad to underestimate an opponent, I don't see the Cardinals hanging in the race for the long haul.

    So over the past few days we've had people get strikes for calling things "gay". I'm not sure if this is ignorance or what, but associating a situation/object you don't like with being a homosexual is bigotry. I know that probably since grade school the term has been ingrained in people, but it really needs to stop, and we won't tolerate it there. Thanks for your understanding.

    Jon Rauch is the tallest MLB player ever (6'11"). The St. Paul Saints boasted the tallest professional baseball player ever (7'3"), but it was just a publicity stunt where he had just 1 AB I think. Loek van Mil of the Snappers (which you linked to above) is currently the tallest professional baseball player.

    I knew a couple of kids in grade school with the last name "Izydorek".... pretty much pronounced "is a dork". There's no first name you can give that kid that will counter that.

    If you're going to give your guys a rest and punt, there's no better team to punt against than San Fran. Hardy can use the day of to regroup a bit (small sample size notwithstanding).

    Davey almost needs to go to broadcasting school or something. He's real fine in interviews, but when he's ad-libbing, it's clear that he's just not comfortable at all. I like Brian Anderson, and Bill is what he is. Craig Coshun's come along way, and I think he's doing just fine. Trenni seems pretty polished as well.

    If I were talking about if Rickrolls were funny or not, that would be one thing. It's like when we used to have people saying "Nascar sucks" in Nascar threads or "wrestling sucks" in wrestling threads. If you don't want to do it and think it's played out, so be it, no reason to poo poo the thread. I've known about Rickrolling since the beginning as well, but it's still funny to a large group of people.
