  1. I would assume it's whomever is the roving instructor this year.
  2. [ "I feel like recently we've had quite a few games similar to this when we score early and then we kind of let our guard down a little bit." "We can't do that anymore. I don't know if we necessarily relaxed or not, but we need to continue to put pressure on them, and we haven't been able to do that. You can't have this happen again." ] Amen.
  3. Either this belongs in the venting thread, or you owe me $20 at some point this season.
  4. [ Why is he called 3T0? 3TO or TTO = Three True Outcomes: 1) Walk 2) Strikeout 3) Home Run It's a term of endearment from those who enjoy/enjoyed the likes of players like Adam Dunn, Russell Branyan, and Rob Deer.
  5. I got pulled over and ticketed by Pewaukee police for "running a red light". I entered when it was yellow, and it just flicked red as I got about halfway through the intersection. The cop said that I entered the intersection when it was red, but he was totally lying. I'm sure there are some fine Pewaukee police officers out there, but so far my experience has been contrary to that.
  6. It'll probably be Balfour for an organizational soldier in a position where we lack minor league depth... Either that, or Balfour for Adam Dunn.
  7. Personally, as long as it's not overused (meaning our "gimmicky" threads not being more than once every other week), I think people get a kick out of it. I do agree that it is hard to read, though... my rods and cones!
  8. Just a plain google search? LinkedIn is great as well.
  9. from rotoworld: Felix Pie left Thursday's game at Triple-A Iowa because of a quad injury. He's listed as day-to-day.
  10. [ Let's see, arguably the biggest hole this team has is a lead-off hitter. ] Do you think he would have been a starter on our current club?
  11. - My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult - Lords of Acid - Nine Inch Nails - Pop Will Eat Itself
  12. The Brewers team OPS is 6th in the NL against RHP... While I'm never happy with 6th place, I don't know it it's the team's Achilles heel...
  13. Dear Confused in Wisconsin, If you stalk her, follow her to work, but just happened to get in a fender bender, she'll never know you stalked her.
  14. [ The jukebox in Memorial Union's Rathskellar...or, more precisely, the customer whose jukebox selection put "Fat Bottomed Girls" in my head. ] That's funny, I listened to that entire album ON PURPOSE today.
  15. Brad Ausmus had two triples in '99... I don't know if anyone's done it sooner. Doing the research would smack of effort.
  16. [ Phillips says we need a centerfielder? ] Given his track record, you're better off doing the exact opposite of what Steve Phillips said.
  17. [ well it has to balfour. There is no other option. ] Maybe they'll go with the 14-man pitching staff http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Yeah, I'm sure it'll be Balfour, unless they feel like they're in a position to trade another reliever or something. It would have been nice to get Balfour in some lower pressure situations, but I suppose the Brewers aren't in position to churn out any more nuggets by being patient.
  18. So he's mad at you because you outed him for being a phony? What a catch.
  19. 1. Garret Anderson 2. Kevin Youkilis 3. Nick Swisher 4. Frank Thomas 5. Scott Kazmir
  20. A guy like Duncan probably also wouldn't be traded because: a) It would be within the division b) His dad's the pitching coach
  21. [ Any word on who got sent down for the addition of Linebrink to the 25 man roster? ] They usually don't announce it until shortly before lineups have to be handed in...
  22. [ The author is correct in that is it people, not calculators, that play baseball. ] On cloudy days, those solar calculators are completely unreliable.
  23. Rusty Tucker to Brevard County, will be announced shortly. Rusty's coming from the New jersey Jackals of the Can-Am League... He's former ChiSox property.
  24. No one can block their IP address. They can only use an anonymous proxy, which takes us very little time (a simple google search or reverse DNS look up) to figure out. In short, it will take him much more time to set up an account with a new email address than it will for us to ban the account and delete the message. Do you know this guy personally? If so, kick him in the neck.
