  1. Who's going this year? I'm looking forward to it as I think it's gonna be a lower turnout and less demand to get players. I'm curious to see who the alumni is, as I think that's going to determine the draw. I could easily see the number of people through the door between last year and this year decrease by 40-50%.
  2. I think it's ridiculous that writers won't vote for one guy because they know they will get in to give another guy a "push." How can anyone deny Griffey being a HOFer. That's my gripe, vote for the best candidates, don't vote to do someone else a favor. If it were up to me, you'd get less than 10 votes and guys could stay on for 5 years. This campaigning to get into the HOF business is a joke. What makes you a HOFer in year 9 or 10 when you weren't one in year one or two? That's what drives me nuts about the voting process. The stats haven't changed over that time, they were either good enough when they retired or they weren't, it shouldn't take a writer 9 years for them to change over their vote. At the same time I don't necessarily think there are any players in the Hall that shouldn't be in, so maybe the process works (Around 1.5% of all players make it) but guys would get in faster, there would be more filtering, and less debate.
  3. Anyone here think that Kenny Lofton should be in the HOF, regardless of first or 15th ballot?
  4. I had my bachelor party at Miller Park. We tailgated, and everyone got really drunk and only a few people made it to bars after. The game went 14 innings, so a lot of people just went home, we shoulda left early. I didn't care about going to strip clubs, so we didn't. That's all I got.
  5. Griffey and Piazza get in but that's it.
  6. Well, next year I think they are gonna have to resort to former players. I can't see them thinking people are gonna want a Will Middlebrooks bobble. Get ready for the 12th Yount bobblehead.
  7. Brian, when ya get rid of non 8x10 things, get at me, baseballs, game used, etc. I missed the chance on that Braun jersey, but I woulda taken that in a heartbeat.
  8. Glad I saw this. Just grabbed a pair. I woulda grabbed four, but with Christmas here and me not selling or trading lately I didn't wanna bother to make 30 bucks in June.
  9. Whoever goes, lemme know how it was. I'm gonna skip it this year. I just have too much going on tonight and tomorrow. The last few years haven't had any game used items that are worth the price, and I have enough shirts, etc. I do better on the game used stuff at the On Deck.
  10. I'll head over there, last year there wasn't a whole lot that sparked my interest.
  11. It's pretty incredible that KRod never got his own bobblehead here considering he's the one player that should have deserved one over a buncha other scrubs in that timeframe.
  12. The companies merging won't affect naming beers. I can't imagine they will get rid of Miller Lite or Miller High Life as names.
  13. Ha, you and me, and probably majority of the people that post on here. That's the problem when they make a million of any card. The one that still stands out is the Griffey Upper Deck. That goes for over $300 in a PSA 10.
  14. I'll probably attend the Hank and Uecker games. I'm glad they finally have a 90's player, though I'll probably snag that one off eBay.
  15. Still holding out for the Ruben Quevedo bobble.
  16. It makes a difference if you don't have cable. I don't, so Im not able to watch games at home, though I would. I also don't wanna have to go to a bar, or find a friends house till 1030-11 pm on a weeknight.
  17. I only watched game one of the Cards and the Cubs this season, at a bar. We haven't had cable in years because for $16 we can have both Netflix and Hulu to watch whatever we want at our disposal. I thought about getting the MLB package, but then you can't watch Brewers games, and the playoff package is a separate fee. Oh well, I've listened to a handful of them on the radio, and watched highlights the next day. It is what it is, even if I'm not happy about it. I'll at least get to see the World Series.
  18. I was very surprised by the quality of these. They are pretty nice for a giveaway. And there isn't any type of sponsor stitched into the hat anywhere either.
  19. BrewCrew, I'm certain I have an extra. However, I believe it's in my mom's basement. We're moving at the end of this month, so I'll be getting all my stuff from her basement within the next few months. Hit me up in December or so if you don't come across one before that.
  20. I haven't scored a game at all this season, and seeing how I don't plan to go to anymore games this year, I won't be. I used to every time I went, with or without friends. Loved it. My gripe is that I don't want a score book, I liked the official Brewers score cards. When they went to $2 each so they basically could sell an advertisement on that trifold, my score keeping declined drastically. Often times I'd forget a pencil too, so you had to buy one. Love keeping score, I always liked comparing scorecards with others because everyone does it just a little bit differently. It's certainly a lost art.
  21. If the T-Rats weren't in Wisconsin they'd only do a few. They see the Brewers doing 10, and the Brewers market with them to an extent and probably encourage 10. When I talked to my rep last year and declined to renew my plan because I just no longer have the itch to get all of em, he laughed, and said "At least you know when to hold em and know when to fold em" I'm moving in a few months and plan on setting up my new rec room. I'm excited to display them, but more excited to pick out the ones I no longer am interested in and try and get rid of em. It's just too bad I can't get more than $5 for a lot of em these days.
  22. I'm wayyyy more into jerseys than bobbles these days. Get at me!
  23. Not Brewers, but got Roger Bannister on two index cards back today. For those that can't place his name, he was the first person ever to break the 4 minute mile. Pretty excited to get it back, as he's pretty old and actually stopped signing right after I sent mine out. He even included "3 59.4"
  24. Every six months I think that bobble list should be updated. Maybe not every single bobble, but the more rare ones, and the newer ones ALWAYS come down after a few months of being flooded on the market.
