  2. Yeah nobody is acting like they just acquired Machado…….. They improved the team without giving up too much…….good for Arnold.
  3. I think you win the prize for most bitter brewer fan…….and there is a decent amount of competition! They were never going to overhaul half the starting lineup at the trade deadline…….nobody does that.
  4. Well Severino wasn’t going to solve that problem……..the point is we delt from an area where we have lots of prospects who are similar or more highly thought of then the guy we just moved.
  5. I think Jones goes back down when they activate Santana. Seems like Rowdy isn’t expected back until mid August so they have plenty of time to figure that out. Anderson will return sooner most likely…..not sure they need 5 outfielders so Perkins could be sent back down then……we will see…..still more movement to come probably so no sense in spending too much time thinking about who stays and who goes.

  7. Yelich’s contract isn’t bad for the production he is giving this season. I’m glad he’s here for the long term……he loved Milwaukee enough to sign what at the time was viewed as a very team friendly deal………clearly he hasn’t produced at the mvp levels of his 2 best seasons……but he’s one of the best 10-20 players in baseball this season by WAR…….people need to stop trying to “ move him” to get out from under a contract that is perfectly reasonable for this level of production.

  9. Miller sure has come along way defensively at first…….
  10. Not baffling at all to me……they wanted to give Winker every chance to come out of it…….which is perfectly reasonable ……it just didn’t work.
  11. From McCalvy Why haven’t the Brewers called up Keston Hiura? Hiura wasn’t the same hitter in the big leagues from 2020-22 as he was during an eye-opening rookie showing in ‘19, but he’s been on a tear at Triple-A Nashville this year, hitting .308 with a .963 OPS. The Brewers have not yet given him a shot, however, for a couple of reasons. One, scouts say Hiura has actually regressed in the field, and would be limited to designated hitter duty for a Brewers team that’s been winning with pitching and defense. Two, Minor League surface numbers don’t always tell the whole story. The Brewers have much more advanced data about players’ performance and the quality of competition against whom they’re doing damage. So far, the organization hasn’t viewed Hiura as an upgrade, or it would have made the move. But that may be changing. Hiura made an adjustment to his approach earlier this month that has intrigued club officials. At this point, it’s a smallish sample. But it’s growing. Asked whether Hiura could be a possibility for a callup at some point, Brewers GM Matt Arnold said, “He’s continuing to evolve his approach and we’re seeing some really encouraging signs here lately. Certainly, we’re looking for more production out of the DH spot and Keston is absolutely in the conversation there.”
  12. I think they waited for Perkins to be announced for Jones……..then went with the lefty to face Perkins.
