    I just read the Rosenthal blurb in the Athletic…….it reads like conjecture/speculation to me. It obviously could happen but it certainly didn’t come across as insider information to me.

    I’m not sure how anyone could have watched Stearn’s press conference and come away with the idea that there were hard feelings between him and MA. it seems likely that this is a nice compromise for Stearns……he gets to take a year off to recharge the batteries before the next chapter. If the Mets or anyone else wants him badly enough then they can pay up to get him early. If Anyone has the right to be pissed it’s Mark A…..at the Mets for leaking their intent to poach an executive still under contract with another team.
