Well, we surely did give up some big pieces to form our current roster, that is for sure. Is our farm "gutted?" That remains to be seen. Isan Diaz, Monte Harrison, Gilbert Lara, Kodi Medeiros, Demi Orimoloye, Jorge Lopez, Brett Phillips, Jean Carmona, and Luis Ortiz. There are a bunch of top prospects in that group. Those aren't a bunch of names that didn't hurt... I just hope that the end result was worth it. it's already been worth it.........we made the playoffs for the 5th time in history.......none of those guys are sure things and many were dealt from positions of strength. We acquired the likely MVP and have him under contract for 4 more years......We still have Burnes and our other top pitching prospects...we still have Hiura.

I'm not sure this team is 'equipped" to be the first World Series winner.....starting pitching or not. Not with the Red Sox, Houston, A's, Indians or Yankees waiting. We would be big underdogs no matter who we would face. I'm just hoping we can win the wild card game assuming that is where we end up. So much luck and randomness in baseball......1 game and we are out.

My money would be on never
-
Except for that last one......lol Nice throw from left
-
Lots of grounders with eyes for the Cubs.....perhaps the pirates might want to guard the lines? None of the balls have been hit particularly hard.
-
Should have been out of the inning.......
-
Ump doing Williams no favirs
-
Well if Marte is going to let routine fly balls drop then it certainly could be a tough night for Williams.....
-
Bases loaded 1 out for pirates in first
-
How fitting......dominant bullpen shuts the door...... How sweet it is!
-
Terrible 2nd strike call....lol
-
Yeah it was Perez
-
Pinch runner worked out well.....just liked we planned it. Dribbler.....bad throw by Mouse....guy face plants around 3rd.....Kratz tries to tag somebody who isn't there.....and then the guy walks into an out. Did I get that about right?
-
Wow pinch ran for Carpenter
-
Home JJ is sharp.....haven't pitched in a long time
-
Had him struck out
-
Give em the gas Ricky!
-
Didn’t he just have 3 hits including a home run yesterday? Forget it he's rolling......
-
Great job by Burnes getting Cards to hit it right at our guys......
-
Getting breaks tonight.....lots of hard contact for outs.
-
Got to catch that one
-
Chacin not fooling anyone........6 up 6 down..... BABIP is his friend right now
-
Usual lineup vs righties with Chacin on mound
