That loss was a bit disappointing, though hardly crushing. Wished to have seen better from our #1/#2 starter, but Woodruff was apt to have a non-dominant start at some time before the season ended. Having a big comeback to tie is excellent, yet it feels unfulfilled when the game is ultimately lost. Seeing one of the top bullpen arms be a bit wild and give up a run with a wild pitch isn't great.
But with all that said, the Brewers are dormie for the division title. It's nicer to clinch that at the earliest opportunity, showing the killer instinct. Not getting it done today isn't terrible, but it would be best to wrap it up on Sunday and have the "happy flight" back to Milwaukee.
