  1. There is no explanation or we would have heard it by now… they like MC more. 680 is better than Hiura vs. righties according to the manager. Would be really interesting if Hiura was treated like a DH. Bat him 7 or 8 vs righties. EVERY TIME. Have Sal on the team playing somewhere. McCutchen can fill Cain’s old role and sit the bench or spot start vs lefties.
  2. .944 Hiura vs righties…. Hardly plays.
  3. Sad how Hiura is being managed…. Adames can do no wrong… Hiura cannot do much right to earn regular starts at DH over a .680 OPS McCutchen. Would love to hear a good reason for the MADNESS.
  4. A DH that can hit righties…. Hiura is better than Goldshmidt at that! And he sits all the time! Gotta play that McCutchen and his sub 700 OPS.
  5. When he doesn’t play, pretty tough to put up numbers. Cannot believe how he is treated so that bad players can hit DH.
  6. Crazy he doesn’t play…
  7. There is no winning this.... Sign him and we are limiting what we can do in every other phase of the game EVEN if he is healthy and does well. With him hurt and Yelich not Yelich, almost half of our payroll would be almost wasted in TWO guys. Don't try to sign him and we look cheap. Trade him and we likely do not get enough back in return... maybe. Keep him two more years and have him walk for nothing. My guess is that the team simply weighs the return over the offseason, taking a gander at what they could get. If it isn't "enough" we simply pay arby and go with Burnes in 2023. I kind of like this option too. If we are not getting a major haul back with top prospects and a #3/4 type MLB pitcher, let's go with him again. If Burnes is not dealt, I assume Woodruff is gone, though. I can't see us back with both of these guys next year because of payroll concerns amid low(er) attendance numbers. Nobody will say this from management, but we are hurting financially. Not a money making time for Brewers baseball from 2020-2022. It's why Hader was dealt and it will be why one of the big two is gone, as well. Then there is "THE REPORT" looming over the franchise. How many 100s of millions of dollars will it take to keep our ballpark and ballteam current and in Milwaukee. Uncertainty for sure and not much direction.... Still huge if Brewers can get in playoffs and make a run to put some fire and energy back into the fanbase and ownership.
  8. 3rd base coach should be irate yelling at him to run… like a maniac.
  9. Brosseau tagging at third on the third out. Standing next to 3rd base coach. Come on….
  10. https://www.fangraphs.com/standings/playoff-odds-graphs Hader has been bad sure, but boy did our playoff % went down fast at the deadline.
  11. Paid him big money this year to do nothing. He should apologize first for really bad play this year and last. Tough to lead when making big money and playing awful..,, so awful that it was beneficial for the team to pay him still while he sits at home. Hate this take by Cain.
  12. Let the “worst” pitcher give up four runs in crunch time….. and brought in our 12th best pitcher to get to the tie..
  13. He should have been standing on third if he didn’t admire his long double. Cost us a run and maybe the game.
  14. Absolutely. Hiura 6, Tellez 7 Adames 8 …. Sounds good if we have better hitters at top.
  15. Move of the game…CC pulling Rogers with bases loaded in the 8th. Gotta get back to not just leaving relievers in for their inning or leaving them in to blow up and then pull them too late. CC used to do this ALL THE TIME before diva Hader blew this up.
  16. I would hope Ruiz can pinch run and swipe a base when needed. Seems like a plus with all these close games.
  17. Ha.. what a question. Of course not.. I’d rather wear a Cardinals baseball cap. Well, maybe not that far.
  18. Getting called to bunt in the 9th there…
  19. I’d respect this take more after a big win and not in the middle of a Monday night Pirates game when we gave up five straight, down 5-3. If they go on a 7 game winning streak, my guess is that you feel differently… maybe not. Disappointing, I agree, but ehhh, 2014 and 2017 were worse feels.
  20. Met him in the concourse of Miller Park about 15-20 years ago. He signed a ball for me and we talked 82. I told him I was young but I still remembered his long last at bat in Game 7. He struck out but to me it showed great grit and will. He said, “13 pitches, right?” I wasn’t sure then or even now, but it was a cool moment at Miller Park with Stormin. The actual people on that team were so loved. Many of those players were veterans in the game and had played several seasons with the Brewers. Best run of teams from 1977-1983.

  22. Four straight playoffs, going on five…. He has 2023 and 2024 here, for sure, if he wants it, I have to think.
