  1. I'm expecting Cutch to play RF and Rowdy/Hiura to be 1st and DH or CC will go back to playing Cain everyday with Taylor in right.
  2. Fine with trying Taylor in CF for a while and replacing him late in close games with Cain. His defense is not great.
  3. We've gone a quarter of the season without starters missing time so it was bound to happen.
  4. 1. Wiemer 2. Turang 3. Small 4. Chourio 5. Frelick 6. Valerio 7. Mitchell 8. Kelly 9. E. Garcia 10. Quero 11. Black 12. H. Perez 13. Uribe 14. Zamora 15. Mendez 16. Warren 17. Smith 18. Gray 19. Feliciano 20. Shook The top 10 is pretty interesting and seems to have some future MLB contributors. After that, it seems to go downhill pretty quickly. Hopefully we will have a quality draft and add a little more pitching to the system.
  5. Chris Carpenter must be rolling over in his grave.
  6. I'd give Small the callup. He has been getting away with a higher walk rate for a while so it might be a good time for him to figure out that won't work in the big leagues.
  7. Hiring for my family's seasonal business is a nightmare right now. We have a lot of open spots and I would prefer to not scrape the bottom of the barrel if at all possible since the workers need to face the general public. If we can't find workers for easy work (not physical whatsoever) at over $20 an hour, things will be closed at our place. We used to get a ton of teens and retired age people to apply but we have gotten very few so far. Sigh, rant over.
  8. Would be nice to try and get chats from front office people, players, people with respected opinions. (not podcast dudes from their basement) Not that I would necessarily partake but there used to be a bfan ticket deal. There used to be a probationary (not sure that is the proper word) on new posters. It helped from new posters being idiots and that would be great if it came back. So far so good on this place.
  9. Are we ignoring that we didn't have one of our best hitters for the majority of the season?
  10. Must not be too effective because it's for an EV not a plugin hybrid.
  11. I-bonds. Yes, if you don't need the money soon it is a good option.
  12. 1 out of 162. CC has run his bullpen like this for years and we have outperformed our run differential.
  13. Not really. It's a long season and you can't pitch your "A" guys every game
  14. If we don't score a run in the 9th it won't matter
  15. I don't see a Mullins trade for Small/Mitchell/Frelick because we will need cheap production of those guys moving forward. Mullins is a good player but will be entering Arbys next year and will get expensive quickly. Maybe Baltimore would want something centered around Houser and some lower level prospects? That is doubtful but other than that I don't see a match here. Baltimore's payroll is so low so it wouldn't be a salary issue with him either.
  16. Could be wrong here but I think Yelich is way more dangerous with runners on base, especially scoring position. It is a lot harder to get the proper shift to snag his rocket ground balls. It is too early for me to think he is "back" but we will see.
  17. Our inside linebackers went from a huge weakness to a strength pretty quickly.
  18. My thoughts exactly. If you get him around the deadline, his salary is about half for the rest of the season and I can't imagine he will cost a lot to acquire.
  19. What do we think of buying low on Joey Gallo? He has struggled with the Yankees but it could just be the market as he is only 28.
  20. I have heard bad things about the Ballys app so I am going to wait and see but I will consider it as well. I need to check out the cost of Spectrum internet by itself too.
