  1. Betting on the Badgers is living life dangerously.
  2. If Peralta can reliably get out left handed hitters than I am hopeful for him as a starter. If not, he should be used as a weapon against right handed hitters which he dominates in the bullpen.
  3. If I were in charge, I would majorly go for it this year. I think there will be a lot of value signing free agents that can help us out. Extend Smith, Adams, and get some cap from Arod. Also, I am assuming they might be doing this to sign Aaron Jones which I don't like. Love him as a player but never pay RBs big money.
  4. Right. When you literally have no other options, it's easier to justify going that route. Except you DO have options to pay for it, you CHOOSE not to. Look, I'm not going to deny that I never illegally downloaded music in college years ago. However, if you are an adult out of school, you should be beyond that kind of stuff imo. This is sports, it's not feeding your family. I feel weird defending cable companies (they mostly suck) and not doing illegal pirating but here we are.
  5. How would that look though? If you are assuming it costs around $600 a year for that channel, that isn't cheap. Then you probably need to lock customers into the full year to make it work (unless you want to charge even more). That sounds a lot like cable.
  6. My parents are on the waitlist for Starlink. They have to use a hotspot for their internet now which is a joke.
  7. "About 60,000 people watch the Brewers on average. If you look at the economics, let's say they have $35 to 40 million rights fees. You would need 60,000 people to play $50 a month for the entire year to just cover those rights fees for a single channel. People are already talking that it's too expensive for $65 a month for an entire bundle of cable channels." Math.
  8. With the way that is setup, there is almost 0% chance he picks up next years option.
  9. I feel like your leadoff hitter is extremely important in the NL. It seems like there is a lot of instances with a runner in scoring position and 2 outs with the leadoff guy at the plate.
  10. We joked about adopting a family name that was more prestigious (like Bush, Clinton, or Hershey), but never considered hyphenating or dropping our last names all-together. My girlfriend's former friend had a last name that was goofy sounding. She changed it to Wynn thinking that would help her with her law firm. Apparently One Call, That's All was already taken.
  11. I got my first shot today. Went to Walgreens this morning and got sent home because they didn't have any. It was really bizarre. They re-scheduled to this afternoon which luckily worked for my schedule. I talked to the pharmacist and it sounded like she had no clue what was going on. She said "I opened the fridge and there weren't any vaccines in there". I also have gotten calls from 2 other waitlists I was on in the last 2 days. It seems like things are starting to move now which is good.
  12. Dak is not good enough to carry that team to anything other than 1st round exits. I would be extremely mad if my team paid a good but not great QB 40 million and then a running back big money. To be fair, I enjoy laughing at Cowboys fans so this is excellent news.
  13. Yep, I have faith that Cain will be good against LHP. If Wong must be in the lineup against LHP, he should be 7th or 8th.
  14. Then who leads off? IMO Wong is our lead-off... I dont see Counsell going Wong, Yelich 1-2... So far in ST when Wong and Yelich have been in the lineup, Wong is in leadoff spot and Yelich in 3 hole. Wong against RHP and Cain against LHP
  15. I won't get on board with any lineup that doesn't have Yelich batting 2nd. He is by far our best hitter and needs as many at bats as possible.
  16. I run an entertainment business that gets thousands of people that come in and carry-ins is a frequent question. We do not allow carry-ins even though people love to whine about it. People, especially those with kids, are slobs and it is a big enough pain in the butt to clean up after them. I would hate to do it on food that I didn't even sell them.
  17. I don't think he is that good of a player to really make a lot of demands. I mean he isn't signed yet and the season is only a few weeks away.
  18. This is unfortunate. I wish JJ nothing but the best.
  19. Personally, I think we have a lot of relivers that are going to be good this year. The list really doesn't include guys like Ashby and Small which could help later in the season possibly.
  20. You are not alone on an island with this one...
  21. Only way Braun comes back is if Keston really struggles or there is a major injury.
  22. Fixed it for you
  23. The sound when Mitchell makes contact is perfectly cromulent.
  24. Adding Odorizzi to rotation. After adding Bradley Jr. I don't see the Brewers spending anything more on FAs. You've said we weren't adding payroll all offseason. I guess if you keep saying it, you will eventually be right!
  25. With the spectacles, Ashby looks like a left handed Burnes.
