  1. Yes but they are going to add a lot this off-season. Money can fill holes quickly if spent half way decently.
  2. This would be pretty unexpected but so was most of last year's offseason. Perhaps the "deals" are in relief pitching this year?
  3. Trading/acquiring Ivan Nova doesn't mean you are buying or selling.... he is just a guy.
  4. Murphy's projected offensive stats look pretty darn appealing.
  5. 6 years of crap is still worth nothing.
  6. Or maybe some of you are drastically overrating the value of Brewers players?
  7. No way we get Kluber without Hiura, Burnes or Peralta. I would be happy if we got him with just giving up one of those guys.
  8. They why are they looking to trade him rather than extend him? The Giants roster is old and declining. They should do a rebuild as they aren't going to win anything with what they have now.
  9. We just released a situational lefty that wasn't going to make a lot of money. I doubt we bother with one until near the end of the season.
  10. Um, Hader is a lefty?
  11. Anyone else a little concerned that he plays in the worst division by far in MLB? (inflated stats)
  12. Sigh, what a huge homer trade.
  13. Henson and Delly 1st and 2nd round traded for George Hill. How's that for clearing up salary! Hill has a dead cap of 1 million next year (18 million if the keep him) according to Spotrac. It sucks giving up the picks, but you have to give up assets in order to remove worthless contracts. I personally love this trade because Hill will be great for this team this year. Beal would be ideal but it would probably include Brodgon, Middleton and more.
  14. If you are mad that the Brewers haven't spent huge money yet/ever, I hear the Yankees and Red Sox are still accepting fans.

  16. I'd love to see some other guys that have that big of multi season splits from their home park that don't play at Coors.
  17. Yep, that's part of the reason I left. Luckily your district hasn't taken away quite as much as mine did.
  18. Seems like a good deal for both sides.
  19. Very nice deal for the Tribe. Cookie is an awful nickname as well.
  20. Before "MadThinker" comes in and says his peace, this proposal is yet again heavily tilted towards the Brewers. There is zero reason for the Tribe to trade Bieber while trying to move more expensive pitchers.
  21. It stinks that a division rival has upgraded. However, if we picked up Goldschmidt, it is possible we would be maxed out on payroll. We have much more pressing needs to address.
  22. The Diamondbacks say no pretty easily. I think you might be right. Is it moreso the $ issue or talent? I feel like $ is the bigger issue than talent. They'd still be on the hook to pay Greinke $20M/year plus deferrals. We may have to kick in another $30 million or so to get the money closer to accurate, or kick in a little bit and upgrade Broxton or Stokes to Ray. The Diamondbacks are going to have a hard time trading Grienke for value I think. Bumgarner and Gray are less risky options out there right now.
