  1. I like the Orioles young players and value them higher than most probably. They also don't seem to want to trade those young guys so I am willing to "overpay". The Brewers have signed International players before but Rodriguez isn't high profile enough to pick his destination imo.
  2. Signings Bring Santana back for a 1 year, 5 million deal Sign Yariel Rodriguez to a 5 year, 70 million deal Sign Jack Flaherty to a 1 year, 8 million deal, club option for extra year at 12 million Trades Burnes to Phillies for Painter Peralta and Williams to Orioles for Mayo and Westburg Adames to Dodgers for Sheehan My Thought Process I am ready for a soft rebuild and this year is the year to do it. We can take a chance on Rodriguez as he is young enough and we are dropping a ton of payroll other places. Same thing with Flaherty, take a chance and maybe you can flip him for more pieces at the deadline. I like Santana for the clubhouse with a lot of young guys. In terms of trades, we are trading our core for solid prospects that hopefully will mostly pan out. I think you would see a team that wouldn't compete but would take their lumps and gain experience. I would look to take some of the "savings" and extend many of these young guys with the exception of Turang. C: William Contreras ($0.77M) 1B: Carlos Santana ($5.00M) 2B: Jordan Westburg ($0.77M) 3B: Tyler Black ($0.77M) SS: Brice Turang ($0.77M) LF: Sal Frelick ($0.77M) CF: Garret Mitchell ($0.77M) RF: Joey Wiemer ($0.77M) DH: Christian Yelich ($22.0M) Bench OF: Tyrone Taylor ($1.70M) Utility: Owen Miller ($0.77M) Utility: Andruw Monasterio ($0.77M) Backup C: Payton Henry ($0.77M) SP1: Yariel Rodriguez ($14M) SP2: Jack Flaherty ($8M) SP3: Emmet Sheehan ($0.77M) SP4: Adrian Houser ($5.60M) SP5: Colin Rea ($3.5M) RP: Joel Payamps ($1.70M) CL: Abner Uribe ($0.77M) RP: Hoby Milner ($1.70M) RP: Justin Yeager ($0.77M) RP: JB Bukauskas ($0.77M) RP: Trevor Megill ($0.77M) RP: Elvis Peguero ($0.77M) RP: Bryse Wilson ($1.30M) Way under payroll.
  3. Yep! Plus with his small stature, I think he will be injury prone moving forward. He has a very high effort delivery. Burnes, Adames, Williams and Peralta should give us the best farm in baseball quite easily.
  4. Tear it down (Burnes, Williams and Adames) and play the kids. If they show enough promise by the deadline, get them some help to make the playoffs.
  5. I turned in my EV lease recently. I want another EV but the ones I want are kinda overpriced so I am waiting for incentives to return which I think will be end of year/start of next year. If they don't, unfortunately I will consider another ICE vehicle.
  6. Nope but this is hardly surprising. You can't lean into the hometown kid narrative as hard as CC did and then sign with the hated rivals. If I were CC, I would move out of the state. Although this will definitely die down over time.
  7. People comparing this to losing CC Sabathia? Come on now, have some perspective. It was 2.5 million dollars a year. Players that left via free agency got offered MUCH more than the Brewers offered. This is the RARE case where Mark should have ponied up.
  8. His statement should have read "The Cubs offered me a lot more money and I wanted to make the most money possible."
  9. My response to this would not be allowed on this website.
  10. $25 for 4 people? You must be getting 4 kids meals, no wonder you are still hungry.
  11. The ONLY way this makes sense is if the team is going to do a rebuilding year or two. Honestly, that is the correct move with the Woody injury but I didn't think the team would take that route. (time to trade Burnes, Williams and Adames without a doubt) With that said, you match that salary Mark A and it's not even a question. For a couple of million dollars difference, this one stings.
  12. I have no desire to watch any movie that is that long. I am sure you could cut out an hour and it will be about the same.
  13. The new subdivision covenants pretty much make starter homes impossible as well.
  14. If CC is managing with another club and we lose him over money, I will be furious with Mark A. (I normally side with management on most decisions)
  15. I am guessing this is the end for Woody with the Crew. This seems like a situation the Dodgers will take advantage of. It's time to do a quick rebuild and trade Burnes, Adames and Williams.
  16. That was a small part of making this purchase. We were looking to build but the pricing on that was not competitive. When this house came on the market, we both assumed something was wrong with it because it was priced well. Come to find out the owner was moving out of state and needed to sell quickly so maybe this will be fine.
  17. I finally recently bought a house. We will see if I made a horrible mistake, lol.
  18. If either the Dodgers or Orioles want to go along with those trades, you make them regardless of the status of Woodruff.
  19. If he could shoot even a little bit, he would have been a top 5 pick. He does tons of little things like Draymond Green (not calling him Draymond Green). He shouldn't play a ton of minutes with Giannis but he looks to be at minimum a regular season rotation player which is just fine for a 2nd round pick.
  20. What kind of return could Devin Williams get?
  21. Football is a violent game, but it seems that injuries are more widespread than ever. It's annoying not watching these games with most of the stars playing.
  22. I hope they don't cut out the lights if the Pack is winning late.
