  1. I'm not sure how much they'd get for him, but I'd be fine with a young-ish (pre-arby) OF that can hit LHP's well. That describes Matt Murton to a T. He's by far my most favorite potential deadline acquisition to thoroughly upgrade us from Mench. Too bad he's on the team that's chasing us, though. After the season, a Vargas for Murton deal would be lovely, though.
  2. Some day, I should publish my "best of" hate mail. Today today today!
  3. At this point Brian, you could probably remove his ban. I doubt he'd ever come back after finding out about this thread. Huh? You mean people still read the content here after they're banned? So this ISN'T the worst place since WWII Germany, as some people would have you believe?
  4. While I was flattered to be asked, I've decided to let Jake Peavy start instead. The thread title now reflects as such. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. And it took them 2 weeks to think to track her cell phone? Gah, I hope it's more elaborate than that.
  6. Kind of weird, since not 2 weeks ago Patrick and Olberman were on Letterman hyping "The Big Show".
  7. Doesn't the fact that they were searching near Oregon in the first place mean they have some sort of tip or info as to what happened or may have happened? Afterall, it's a heck of a long way from State Street to Oregon for them to be looking there in the first place without a reason to.
  8. I don't know. (Is what it means)
  9. Well, ideally if they're trading Gwynn, they can get Lofton too. I'd imagine that the negotiations may have re-started and included Lofton and other pieces. And yes, as previously said, a lot will depend on Otsuka healing during the break. I wouldn't be shocked to see something happen Thursday with both Texas and Milwaukee off.
  10. DM told him to skip his start because he may get called up. I believe the reason that Parra was about to be called up was this deal. The Parra situation was definitely strange, but if the trade happened, Otsuka would have been on the ML roster too, and there wouldn't be room for Parra. first off, how do u explain the manny parra situation. Please, no AOL speak. Thanks!
  11. He was appraoching 90 pitches heading into the the 6th inning. 75, actually.
  12. Estrada robbed of a 2B there... why are all of the close calls going against us lately?
  13. It's hard to run when you're lying on your back. Yeah, he made a real quick effort to get up and head to first.....
  14. Our pitchers- the masters of turning bunt situations into DP's. And thanks for not running there, Chris.
  15. You're getting yourself into very hot water over very little here. I'd strongly advise you to take the warning, learn from it, and drop it.
  16. What's not cool. Personal attacks. Name calling is not allowed here at all. There is no debate.
  17. Stop being a jerk, and start posting civilly. That will be all. Not cool.
  18. Mark Prior (as a Devil Ray) just threw 3 straight perfect games for me to break Johnny Vandermeer's unbreakable record. Probably time to up the difficulty level. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  19. Nothing like letting your pitcher take the bat out of Corey's hands with runners on. Dumb.
  20. So..... does Braun hit 30 this year. That was a monster shot.
  21. I'd think that at this point in his career and never having even been to a World Series, Griffey might have a lot more interest in leaving the team with the worst record in the NL for the team with the best record in the NL and a great shot at the Series than you'd think. I mean, he's only been to the playoffs twice in his career, and hasn't been there in 10 years. If winning one is something he really wants to accomplish, there are far worse places he could go than Milwaukee at this point.
  22. He has been given three or four chances in the Majors already and he is still streaky. He's actually been given ONE chance in the Majors. Not sure where you got three or four, but his ~3 week stint in Milwaukee last June was his first and only callup to the Majors.
  23. I am done. It has been fun, sincere thanks to all. I hope you don't mean permanently.....?
  24. Just one more inning....
