  1. Man, if the pen had held it to Davis' 9, this'd be a one run game.
  2. Now watch as the Brewers' staff promptly gives all four runs right back. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  3. So not keeping the runner at 2nd costs us a run, and Miller botching the pickoff throw also costs us a run. Are there people out there that still think that mental lapses and poor fundamentals don't cost us?
  4. Billy probably didn't have a play there regardless, but there's no excuse for not keeping that ball on the infield to keep the runner from getting to third. .... and it costs us a run.
  5. Just to put things into perspective... Sheets has started one game Clark has been horrible Rickie and Prince have combined for 1 homerun and we still have a winning record. Nice post Steve. Very frustrating loss tonight, but we're headed home in a couple of days. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. But you can mistrue my words and call me out and insult my intelligence that it makes it ok that you do it? First off, show where, exactly your intelligence was insulted. As for you 'stating your opinion,' what you posted earlier that was being questioned was: he did what expected in crunch time, like he always does, when its joke time, he gets away with his weak stuff ....which you kind of left out of your 'I just stated my opinion post.' What about that is not you making accusations without any kind of rationale behind it? ANd frankly, I didnt say ONE thing to ANY ONE POSTER! Very true, you didn't single out any poster. But your blanket condesding posts and general insults aren't accepted here either.
  7. Man, some of you are so brainwashed to the medicore lifestyle its sad. I'd strongly urge you to change your attitude and stop the insults, or your stay here will probably be brief.
  8. What was I thinking. J. Dude. Come on. Stating your OPINION on a message board? Come on now. There's nothing wrong with stating your opinion... just don't state it as a fact, especially when the stats show that you couldn't be more incorrect.
  9. And my numbers are about Wise are based on LIMITED LIMITED opportunities. Sorry If I stated that this guy has PROVED himself to be a QUALITY set up guy over the years. Oh yeah, HE HASNT. Proven by what? Until you have something to back you up, it's just your opinion, and not a fact of any kind.
  10. Why not Kolb here???? This happened yesterday too!!!!! Kolb is in Milwaukee having an MRI and is out indefinitely.
  11. another bad managing decision...Hall shouldn't have been batting...Cirillo should be...Its Cirillos role on the team..thats what he is there for. Except that Cirillo hasn't been able to hit right-handers since 2001....
  12. Im not gonna rip on Wise, even though I think he is junk, he did what expected in crunch time, like he always does, when its joke time, he gets away with his weak stuff. Any actual stats or facts to backup those assertions?
  13. Peavey, I meant a tough play for Prince, because it was a long stretch into the basepaths. He should have been called out. Gotcha. Just wanted to make sure you weren't sticking up for the umps. That said, has there ever been a bad call that DOESN'T cost the team big?
  14. tough play, but I thought Prince had it for sure. Replay shows he knocked it out He's out and the play is over the second Prince tagged the bag. After the runner was out, he made contact and knocked the ball loose. That's a horrible call... nothing tough about it.
  15. Man, what a horrible call. And an error on Koskie? Seriously, that's terrible.
  16. If Carlos and Jenks stay hot at the same time, God help opposing teams. But solo shots can only go so far score-wise. It'd be really nice if Brady and/or JJ would start getting on base with some more regularity.
  17. Is it really the strikeout that produces the run, or is it the fact that the ball gets away from the catcher? That's not the point. I'm just saying that it is possible to score a run on a strikeout. That's all. Now if you want me to argue that reaching on a dropped third strike creates a baserunner and should be reflected in OBP, then I'm game. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  18. Not sure what it counts as or why it was brought up as a run producer, but it is pretty way off from what I was getting at anyway. All I was saying is that you said: K's give zero potential to push a runner across the plate ...which isn't true, because a run can score K with a dropped third strike. Just pointing out that fact, rather than making any sort of point.
  19. I see it as more of the potential rather than the outcome. K's give zero potential to push a runner across the plate. Dropped third strike....
  20. Not mine. Mine stem from a pitcher who can't control where the ball is going. Even though his pitch count is low why not take him out? Bush was coming into the inning after a 5-pitch fourth inning, so no one was warming up. By the time Bush had put a couple guys on and the bullpen started up, there were a whopping 7 pitches before the bases-clearing double and errors, not enough time to get a guy loose and into the game. Just because you thought that making a move was the way to go doesn't mean that it could have worked logistically.
  21. Bad fundamentals and a forgettable outing for Bush = 0-2 on the roadtrip.
  22. Allow me to agree... the sooner a date is specified, the sooner I can start attempting to schedule around it.
  23. Weeks' defense costs a run... ugh.
  24. I mean, Damien Easley! I thought he retired about 3 years ago. No kidding. I was practically shocked when they had him in the lineup yesterday.
