  1. Yeah, the digital signal went haywire and went to black for like 10 minutes, just came back up now. I'm actually a little outside of Madison, so maybe it's just my digital signal.
  2. Anyone else in the Madison area just lose the signal?
  3. What a truly horrible series it has been for the Brewers' pitching staff. This Twins team is as light-hitting as any in the AL, and we've been whomped.
  4. Minnesota: LF Ford 2B Castillo C Mauer CF Hunter RF Cuddyer 1B Morneau 3B Batista SS Punto P Bonser Milwaukee: CF Clark 2B Cirillo RF Jenkins LF Lee 1B Fielder SS Hall 3B Koskie C Miller P Capuano
  5. It's quite likely Hall has a 30-HR season this year....
  6. yeah, but my feelings are Rent-A-Heap would be too good for the lot we'll be sending down. No kidding. Seriously, Hendrickson, Lehr, and Demaria to AAA and Sarfate (or Jackson), Barnwell, and Krynzel to Milwaukee ASAP, please. You could even throw in a Moeller-for-Rivera swap, and I'm a real happy camper. Not even a problem with the 40 man.
  7. The Brewers should get a nice group discount rate on tickets to Nashville.
  8. I am very concerned, off series or not, that a struggling Twins team with a relatively light-hitting lineup has pounded the crap out of us in two consecutive games.
  9. Even good teams have poor streaks/series. Dave is right, ie see the two series vs. the Mets and Phillies that we've just completed. Our depth is getting better (Hall for JJ, a glut of OFers), but we're not where we need to be yet on the staff.
  10. You seem to be doing a pretty good job getting on Carlos, Peavey. So do Bill Hall and Rickie Weeks also need to "try" on defense too? Hall's play was bad, but not because of a clear lack of effort like Carlos has displayed in this series. And Rickie's defense is simply horrible, wouldn't you agree?
  11. People's visions of reality are sometimes clouded by one's love for a team and a player's shortcomings or 'suckiness' is brushed to the wayside because of the 'upside' that people would like to think someone has. I don't see how people's visions can be blurred by a guy that had pitched in 10 games total coming into this year. Now, yes, his future is very bleak, but coming in, there was still justifiable optimism.
  12. How do you figure Peavey? The Brewers have lost every game Hendrickson has pitched in this year (Houston, @LA, @SD) being down four runs early doesn't make things look real good for tonight either. So the Brewers are more like 1-4 in games either Eveland or Hendrickson pitched. I'm not sure I get your question. We were 5-1 on the homestand coming into this series, which is what I said. The point I was making was that despite having them as 40% of the rotation, we won 5 and lost one in the course of that week. I don't think them having a 90 loss season is predictable at this point. And nothing like giving the Twins 5 outs in this inning....
  13. Also, Carlos Lee has had a pretty bad May, and is now 2 for his last 19, without a homer since May 9th. Whenever Jenkins has a bad stretch like that people are all over him, but not a peep about Lee.
  14. With 40% of the rotation consisting of Eveland and Hendrickson for the foreseeable future, I can forsee another 90 loss season come September. Eveland and Hendrickson have been 40% of the rotation for about a week now, and we were 5-1 coming into this series on the homestand. Helling will be back and in the rotation soon.
  15. When Melvin moved Hendrickson up to the majors, it wasn't to be in the bullpen. Yes it was actually, since Hedrickson was brought up to replace Fernandez as the long-relief man and actually made his first appearance of the season out of the pen.
  16. And this situation is why Ned let Davis start the 8th last night, and why that logic was understandable. Hopefully Jorge can go 4 and not make us use up the entire pen.
  17. Hendrickson gives up a double. We're all following the game in one way or another, please refrain from doing play-by-play, per the forum FAQ's: p092.ezboard.com/fbrewers...D=16.topic
  18. It'd be kind of nice if Lee would actually TRY on defense. And it should be pointed out that these Twins have been struggling a lot coming into this series...
  19. Nothing like not having a chance in the game before you even get up to bat. Please bring in Lehr or DLR now, Ned.
  20. Looks like Hendrickson is going to be making an early walk to the showers, and probably just continue walking to Mitchell International to catch his flight back to the minors or maybe to another organization.
  21. Bobbleheads tonight are only for kids. Supposedly. I'm not sure why you think that makes it less of a factor on attendence.
  22. Wow, according to the Brewers online ticket ordering, there are only scattered single tickets available for tonight. Hooray for the effect of bobblehead giveaways on attendence.
  23. I think it has zero effect when it comes to "motivation", etc., but that picture puts a smile on my face. Yeah, AJ is one of the biggest jerks in the game, but the reason that picture puts a smile on my face is because looking at it made it perfectly clear that Barrett is going to be out for a couple of weeks and the Cubs get to replace him in their already pathetic lineup with Henry Blanco.
