  1. No, it was a thread that evolved into a polarized discussion with personal attacks. While that wasn't your intention in starting it, it was locked for good reason, especially considering that two other threads of the same topic were locked within the last week.
  2. It's like the Cubs have 3 pitchers in their lineup with Nefi, Blanco and Maddux. Man, you pull Lee out of their lineup and the Cubs' offense looks simply horrible.
  3. nice job by kolb..who is next wise ? Kolb has barely pitched in the last 2 weeks. He can and probably should go a 2nd inning.
  4. Did Gross move over to third on the play, or did he have to score from second on the single? Gross went to third on the play.
  5. Talk about a manufactured run...
  6. This game is absolutely flying.
  7. Seems pretty clear to me that if the first, "positive" thread was locked, that the 2nd one probably shouldn't have been posted in the first place, and it shouldn't be a shock that it was locked as well. And if there's serious concern about this thread being locked because it was negative about Branyan, there's no real case to be made since the 'positive' one was as well.
  8. Can someone describe what happened with the bat? I didn't see it, and there doesn't seem to be any mention of it in the news reports. There was some confusion as to whether it broke when JJ hit a grounder, or if the entire thing flew out of his hand and into the stands. It appeared to hit a lady in the face, and when FSN cut to a crowd shot, it showed her bleeding profusely and catching the blood in what appeared to be a hat. FSN quickly cut away, and Daron said they'd monitor the situation, but they never mentioned it again.
  9. Seriously, how many runs have we given up this year because of crappy defense?
  10. tuba house party in madison tomorrow night for anyone interested, 1004 vilas ave. Out and about tonight in Madison, maybe I'll actually take you up on that, buckytuba. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Otherwise, Big Ten Pub for me.... Happy drinking everybody!
  11. If only they had Bush's pitching last night... no-no through 4. And right on cue, he gives up a hit.
  12. Sheets would have liked three of these runs yesterday...
  13. Nothing like a Saturday Brewer game not being televised so that FSN can show "This is the PGA Tour." Our TV contract is a joke. I can understand being preempted for the Bucks on Thursday even if I didn't agree with that, but this is absurd.
  14. You haven't had a man in scoring position all night, you are in the bottom fo the 7th, so your catcher may not even bat again, Moeller is a career .231 hitter no matter how well he is doing so far this year, on teh becnh you have Cirillo and Clark both guys who will likely hit .280 or so this year. Yet Clark is in a slump right now, and Cirillo hasn't been able to hit right-handed pitching in over 5 years. I don't have much of a problem with Moeller hitting there.
  15. Still workable, but we need to get Bronson out of the game ASAP.
  16. Is it possible to just cut everyone in the bullpen except Turnbow?
  17. Man o man.... when the offense shows up, the staff gives up like 18 runs, and when we finally get some pitching, we score one run.
  18. Make that 5 up, 5 down. Sheets is still perfect. And right on cue, a double down the line. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  19. Good grief.... Fielder was a full step past the bag when the ball actually got there after looking at the replay.
  20. Adams is doing his best to get himself back to Nashville, it seems. Maybe the writer who slammed the Brewers for not having the pitching this year might have been on to something. Man, it's been a rough couple of weeks for the staff.
  21. Prince has always hit for a better average than Gwynn. You don't think that Prince is going to end his career with a higher average than Gwynn did, do you?
  22. how many runs to be considered a save? Three runs or less, otherwise there are also two other ways that were not applicable tonight.
  23. And it costs us a run. Yay for poor fundamentals.
  24. I scary play there.... would have been close at 3rd, but Miller should absolutely have thrown to 1st.
