    Hmm... looks like Joe has faced 6 ML hitters, and hasn't gotten one of them out. I think now would be a good time to start. He pitched 1/3 of an inning in 1999, so he had to get someone out.

    There goes the quality start. The official one, yes. But if Dana goes 5 or 6 innings and only allows the 4 runs, then it's a great start in the eyes of the Brewers and of us fans. Just one little bump in the road tonight, otherwise he's been great. It's a shame that bump cost him 3 runs.

    Does that make sense? I think it does. You defend your player, and try to fire up the team in the process. Ned picks his spots well, so it's not like he's a hothead that gets ejected every other game.

    I usually don't care about the ejection thing, but and Umpire calling a player "Bush League" is pretty damned Bush League by the Umpire. Total crap, and I'm glad Ned stuck up for his guy.

    Lehr still has life? How? 7.98 ERA 20 hits allowed in 14 IP, 1.84 WHIP, .339 BA against. Demaria's ERA is lower than Lehr. EDIT: Lehr's ERA is actually 8.62 after this evening...
