  1. Collossal, idiotic, moronic mistake there. He could clearly see that that play wasn't going to beat the runner at 2nd and had all the time in the world to get the runner at first. Really, really stupid.
  2. Nice call Dale. It was, actually. Either Brady is tagged out and the inning is over, or they at least give Koskie the CHANCE to score.
  3. Nice to see Brady getting some hits. Not so nice to see that he still has the instincts of my grandma on the basepaths.
  4. The term 'dark ages' doesn't refer to a time period between 500 and 1000 AD in Europe, but actually referrs to the couple of years in the minors when Bill Hall was referred to as Will.
  5. The moon does not revolve around the earth, it actually revolves around Bill Hall.... while keeping a respectful distance out of fear. The Geoff Jenkins bobblehead given out in 2001 wasn't inspired by the bobbleheads from decades ago, but by what actually happened when Bill Hall hit Jenkins in the head one day. Good thread. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. Bill Hall doesn't steal bases, he liberates them. For the record, I found this one very amusing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. OK, is Kolb the better option than Turnbow in the 9th? There's no justification for letting your best reliver rot on the bench so he can compile meaningless saves. Just mindless,"follow the leader" mentality. Perhaps, but at some point the other relievers in the bullpen need to stop sucking and get the job done.
  8. I mean, seriously... is it Yost's fault that no one, including our 'best' two setup men can't keep the leadoff hitter off of first in the bottom of the 9th in 3 of 4 games?
  9. Nope, the WBC. Well, if he wasn't banned from international competition. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  10. I think it's a runner-related thing, but he's been in for three batters too long.
  11. Apparently Yost struck gold with Cirillo tonight.
  12. And a bad defensive play by Cirillo at 1st costs us a run. And Hardy gets the error on a mistake by Cirillo/Davis.
  13. Davis has been very, very bad this year. What it the world happened to his control this year?
  14. Well, I for one am fairly shocked. I watched the fox stuff unfold on the ESPN board from a distance, but had no clue that was him. Yeah, the posting of play-by-play stuff in the IGT's was a bit annoying and he didn't really post here otherwise, but it was relatively harmless and seemed like a guy who was just into the games. That said, I'm shocked that it was him who brought the ESPN board to its knees and posted that today.
  15. Plus, we don't have the expressed written consent of MLB, just implied oral consent. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. Yost didn't learn his lesson I guess. Let Nomar kill you two days in a row. You do realize that Ned was ejected from the game on Friday and the decisions in the bottom of the 9th were the responsibility of Maddux/Wynegar/whoever, right?
  17. Brian has done the short-term banning thing in some situations. I think it's a good tool to use to get people to cool off sometimes, thoug most people, even the most obscene offenders that are banned have been given a 2nd chance. But it works with some and they get the message, others are enraged by it and they come back with somewhat of a vengeance.
  18. The TV gun is usually considerably slower than the in-house gun, FWIW. Sheets breaks out a 2-seemer for the first time in 2 or three years. THAT's how you know he doesn't have the good stuff tonight.
  19. No curve and getting a lot of the plate. Not good, I hope nothing is wrong with him.
  20. Kind of nice when it's May and your #8 hitter is hitting .303, isn't it?
  21. I'm not saying I don't agree with letting him die a peaceful death in Tampa. That's fine. But I don't think posting his current stats and having a discussion about his struggles classifies as saying "I told you so." A similar thread about the exact same thing was locked a whopping four days ago. Yes, you didn't see it. But the moderators made the mistake of not locking this one right off the bat like the other. There is nothing new here to discuss. It's the same stuff from the past year+. He's no longer a Brewer. Where are the Ron Belliard threads? He was very polarizing. Or Keith Ginter? None at all. Seriously, let it go. Both sides.
  22. That wasn't a personal attack. It was a response to BCU he said he was going to shut his mouth, and then proceeded to do the opposite. True, but it WAS awefully snippy. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif The point is that a thread that contains the above posts without much real discussion around them probably isn't a real worthwhile thread.
  23. The threads don't get locked because they're about Branyan, they get locked because people fail to be civil about it. And seeing how practically every Branyan thread has gotten into a flame war and locked in the past, I really can't blame the moderators for giving the issue a very short leash. Interesting how nobody starts threads about how Counsell, Clayton, and Sexson are doing; only Branyan. Brewers19 has it nailed. If there's a thread that consists of posts about why the thread shouldn't be locked, justification for having said thread, insults, and an argument about said insults mixed in with a spattering of legitimate discussion about a topic that has been beaten to death, people expect that thread to not get locked?
  24. What were those personal attacks? You sure put a lot of thought into that post. Keep up the contributions! Are you 13 years old? Well, you certainly didn't keep your mouth shut. But people sure do jump on every chance they have to accuse me of my intentions on this matter. But I guess if you didn't really care, you just wouldn't respond.
