  1. I really, really want to believe that this is the year, this is the team. But when you've watched the Brewers for over 30 years, there's always that nagging voice in the back of your head saying "Come on man, it's the Brewers. You know they're going to let you down in the end."
  2. Won't be easier tomorrow, then a series in Philly which is statistically the toughest place to play in the NL. Shaping up to be a very bad road trip if the offense continues to go into hibernation again.
  3. Well, it's not just Kluber, our offense sucks just as equally against their inept bullpen.
  4. Jeepers boys. Way to chase Kluber. What'd you make him throw there in the 7th, about 8 pitches?
  5. This whole road trip has been a BABIP nightmare. Hard contact, nothing falling.
  6. Corey Ray is always either going really good or going really bad. Right now he's going really bad.
  7. Wow, Cain is pissed about something. Don't know what, but you can't allow a double to Kipnis on that.
  8. Can we just get some lucky unlikely 2 run HR here?
  9. On the bright side for Braun, doesn't really appear that A.L fans really care about Braun enough to boo him anymore.
  10. Not really going to give yourself much of a chance to beat Kluber if you're going to give up 3 runs in the first 3 innings.
  11. You really don't hear much about Villar being a defensive hack anymore.
  12. Well, that would have been better one play earlier.
  13. I think the difference right now is that Aguilar is perceived much differently than he was before the season. Many considered him totally expendable. Even the ones that preferred to keep him were resigned to the idea that it would be as a bench bat. Now only is he not considered expendable but many want to see him in the lineup every day. Given his and Thames relative lack of versatility, there may not be an easy answer. I'm not saying it won't work itself out too, just that I have no idea how at this point.
  14. With benefit of hindsight would I make this trade again? No, I would rather have Haniger + injured Banda than Davies if that's what you're asking. So no I would not.
  15. No. READ the original post again. I'm asking about a specific offer, whether or not you guys would accept that deal or not. Not "Hey, what do you think of James Shields?". All money covered, Lemons as the return. Okay. No.
  16. Really? Gotta get Aguilar back to his role of best PH in baseball? Can we just say that the bench will be deeper or that Thames would solidify the roster. Aguilar has to keep playing. Thames had a .918 OPS vs. RHP in 2017 and was at 1.004 so far this year. Like it or not they are going to work him in against righties somehow.
  17. Anderson isn't the ace. We don't have one. Even after the 2 meltdowns Albers has an ERA of 2.05 and WHIP under 1. So yes he's been very good. It didn't work out because it was bound to not work out eventually. There's no certainty it would have worked out better if they had stuck with the starters. Look what happened to Shields when Renteria stuck with him too long. They have a philosophy that they've had all season and it has worked very well for 2 months. They aren't going to change it based on a 2 game sample of bullpen struggles that were inevitable at some point.
  18. Because he's been quite bad since 2015 and would cost us millions.
  19. Who is worth more in a trade, Thames or Aguilar?
  20. Dan Jennings on the other hand has been pretty bad lately.
  21. Not at all why we're losing. Suter's command was starting to waver and there's no guarantee the floodgates wouldn't have opened on him. Albers has been fantastic for us, he was not tonight. Happens, and it's going to happen more and more if they continue to piss away golden scoring opportunities and put one single run on the board (an unearned one at that).
  22. Well this had trap series written all over it, and we proved it to be true.
