  1. Yelich says sorry about that noodle arm thing, I'll get it back right away.
  2. They need to rally and win this. Cannot let this one slip away after all this.
  3. This is going to be a very disappointing game loss and series loss if they don't come back.
  4. I don't blame Jeffress. I blame the offense for squandering one opportunity after another today.
  5. I'll take either one. I'm worried Counsell is thinking Hader for the 7th/8th, Knebel for the 9th.
  6. Having only one run today is tough to stomach with all these opportunities. You still like our chances having the superior bullpen, but I really hope it doesn't come back to bite us.
  7. You'd have to blow away the high end of what Machado thinks he can get in free agency to get him to agree to commit the next decade of his life to Milwaukee before he's spent one day with the team. 7/210 doesn't come close to that. That's probably on the very low end if he ends up with a very disappointing free agency, but no way he takes that right now. You'd probably be talking more like 10/400 to keep him off the market, and even then only if he actually wants to be here. Reality is unfortunately we just can't afford that kind of contract.
  8. Don't be shy about getting Hader and Jeffress some work today. 2 innings each if need be.
  9. Not necessarily, he could throw 10 pitches in each of the next 4 innings. EDIT: Though I have no idea what kind of a pitch count they have on him today.
  10. It's a pitcher. If he gets a hit he pretty much got lucky. He lined out.
  11. If you're right, you can still challenge again. Either way, you're talking the difference between 1st/3rd one out and 3rd/2 out against a great pitcher in a tie game. It's a crucial miss and you absolutely take the chance. Counsell has made much worse challenges. You don't take away a scoring opportunity because you're worried about not having a challenge for 4 innings when most days you're not going to use one at all and you're probably going to end up being right and keeping your challenge anyway.
  12. Disagree, best pitch he's probably going to see is the first one. He's up with 2 out and bases loaded so it's all or nothing, he may as well try to get lucky. if he gets down 0-2 his chances are greatly reduced. Both pitches he swung at were strikes and he hit a liner so I don't know what else you could ask for.
  13. Had a chance to put up runs on Reyes and it falls to the wayside because of something as simply as incompetent review.
  14. Villar seemed unconvinced. I hope Sogard makes Reyes throw a lot of pitches, hope for a wild one and a run by the young pitcher throwing to a young catcher He doesn't get the benefit of a super slow motion on a force play, so they certainly shouldn't be leaving it up to whether or not Villar is convinced. But that close I can't believe he isn't ar least standing on 1st and making a case.
  15. Whoever recommended to CC that he not review that needs a different job. Horrible. That's potentially run costing, even game costing
  16. Always a plus to have an .091 hitting catcher and pitcher coming up when you get in a jam. Enormous strike zone today.
