    Yes, they’re very good at what they do. Here’s a counterpoint. If the Mets truly believed that Sproat was a future high end rotation piece, why would they throw him in as a second piece for one single year of Freddy Peralta?

    MLB history is littered with guys who had “stuff” who never amounted to a hill of beans. Sometimes it just never clicks.

    Yeli either has a spectacular big moment hit or he strikes out in horrendous embarrassing fashion. There is no middle ground.

    I’m coming around a bit on Hamilton. Is he an everyday starter on the left side of your infield? No, probably shouldn’t be. Is a solid utility man to have on your roster? Yes.

    I really hope Yoho can figure it out this time. Obviously his previous trips up have not gone well. I don’t like to use the expression “the lights are too bright” but I wonder if that has been the case because you’re talking about a jump from 2.5 BB/9 to over a walk an inning. It’s obviously not a question of his ability or stuff.

    I mean it’s not like any of the three options I listed are implausible.

    Lara is either banged up, imminently on his way to Milwaukee or part of trade conversations. There’s zero other reason that he wouldn’t be in the lineup again.
