  1. I haven't even really noticed the new angle. I think maybe I did on Opening Day and hadn't even thought about it since.
  2. Wow, beautiful throw Pina. Still think he should be the starter. Although I guess there really isn't one.
  3. Why does Rock wonder if routine ground balls booted in the infield will be scored hits or errors?
  4. I'll be that guy...is that still an out with Scooter's arm at 2nd?
  5. What does this even mean? What is a 'team play?' 19 HRs and 65 or so SBs aren't baseball plays? Villar also scored 92 runs last year to Scooter's 58, so no, Scooter won't score more runs than Villar.
  6. I really hate games vs. the Cubs at MP.. It's bad enough essentially playing a road game at home, but filling up the park full of insufferable Cubs fans makes it worse. Welp, here we go. If we are going to win any games this series, tonight is probably our best shot.
  7. Those are going to start getting really popular. You don't think about it much, but it wouldn't take much for a baseball to kill a man. A 90+ MPH fastball in the wrong spot on the head or face, or in the chest, that's all it would take. Liners come back at the pitcher or infielders much harder than 90+ at times. It's remarkable to me that only one MLB player has been killed on the field in history, but it's happened much more in amateur and foreign baseball. Sad.
  8. Really? He personally kind of seems like a piece of trash. I mean I like Braun and all with him being a Brewer but I'm not blind to the fact that I would probably despise him if he spent the last 10 years with another organization. I think you are blinded by fandom here. Yadier Molina is one of the most respected players in the game. I also think he isn't done yet. He has had a lot of injury issues the past couple of years but when he finally got healthy later in the year last year he was very productive. I think this is a bad deal for their team because it is clearly an overpay. I do think it is defensible if they can bring up the next C in their system and that guy can learn from Molina the next couple of years. I don't know if that player is in their system or not since I don't follow the minors all that much. Probably. Piece of trash was kind of overstating things. The 'holier than thou' attitude he's adopted as a member of the Cardinals (and recently he demonstrated during the WBC) is always annoying, and I still remember him serving a suspension for spitting in an umpire's face years back.
  9. I wouldn't go as far as to say he stinks at everything, but he's pretty mediocre at most and excels at nothing. The problem with Scooter is that he just wasn't a good fit anymore with Villar going to 2nd. He's pretty useless as a utility player no matter how much we tried to disguise him as one as he's not versatile or a good defender anywhere. He only really fits well on a team with a gaping hole at 2nd or as a platoon partner for a RH second baseman.
  10. Counsell said Broxton is not seriously injured, won't be placed on the DL and may even return to play tomorrow. Broxton said he believes the C-flap saved his eye and maybe even his life.
  11. I remember when Matt Wise hit a guy in the head and he was never the same again. This kid, obviously, has no soul, lol.
  12. Outscored the Rockies in the series, lost the series 3-1.
  13. Of course this guy is shutting us down. If we had to face an MLB debut pitcher every game we'd go 0-162.
  14. He swung through a low strike for strikeout 2 today. I know I've seen him swinging at low stuff quite a bit so far. I don't think he has a preference when it comes to swinging through strikes. Yeah, I was more just making a generalization rather than referring to that particular AB, but if memory serves me correctly he can never hit, or lay off, a high fastball.
  15. What's the record for consecutive strikeouts to start a season? Captain Kirk is still perfect there. I don't know why any pitcher would ever throw him anything but high fastballs.
  16. http://www.mlbstream.me/baseball/465283/4/milwaukee-brewers-vs-colorado-rockies-live-stream-online.html That link above has been working for me great at school. Tune in just in time to see Keon take it off the face. Oh no...how bad does it look? Like Rymer Liriano last year bad?
  17. Can't see the game but it says injury delay, where was Keon hit? Really hope not the wrist.
  18. Well that's a big early opportunity squandered quickly.
  19. Nah, they gotta leave Villar be if they're going to try to make the 2B thing work with him. I don't see him playing much SS or 3B outside of an occasional double switch or emergency.
