  1. Great outing by Villy. Two walks costed him. I don't know how he kept his PC as low as he did with his walks tonight.
  2. I've been thinking about documenting every time during the month when my cable or internet is out or unservicable in some way, and asking them to deduct a pro-rated amount for the days when it was not serviceable. Seems only fair, doesn't it? Why should I pay for cable/internet when it is not working?
  3. I may as well watch this on MLB.COM on a 56K.
  4. It will be really nice to have Cameron manning CF.
  5. Yeah. It's barely watchable right now. So we have bad camera angles, and bad feed.
  6. That looked better off Hall's bat than it was.
  7. I think pop-ups aggravate me more than strikeouts.
  8. Oh man, it is really good to see Weeks smoke the ball like that, especially off the breaking ball.
  9. Honestly, Are the FSN camera crews just TRYING to antagonize us?
  10. Man, 4 walks for Villy? It's going to be another short day for him at this rate.
  11. Corey looked like a pitcher up there. Speaking of pitchers, would be nice to get Gross on so we don't have to leadoff with ours next inning.
  12. I can't believe Weeks didn't get rung up on 1-2. It's like the umpire felt sorry for him knowing how much he's been struggling. At least he made contact after that, there's not much positive to say right now.
  13. What would Gagne rather have? option A) A World Series option B) One less save that Riske picked up because he had pitched the 3 previous days Gagne wants to win and so does Yost. In their opinion, Gagne going out there in the 10th gave their team the best chance to win. (which turned out to be wrong in hindsight and here we sit) BTW, I think Gagne would take option A. It's not just about the one extra save. It's about what Yost is going to do in this situation. If he runs into it about this often throughout the season -- (and there will be probably be 5-10 situations this season where bringing in Gagne for the save will be at least questionable), Gagne IS going to want the chance to earn the extra saves. Baseball is not a pure sport anymore. Saves are a pretty overrated stat that don't tell us much, but saves are money. If Gagne gets 40 saves this season instead of 32, that's probably several million dollars in a long-term contract just through those 8 extra saves. I'm not trying to badmouth Gagne. I don't care what he cares about as long as he pitches well this year. I'm a Gagne fan for this year because he's a Brewer, but I have little doubt that Eric Gagne's #1 priority is Eric Gagne's well-being. Would he like to win a World Series? I'm sure he would, but I have little doubt that his main agenda when he signed with us was to sign that short 1 year deal for a nice chunk of change, perform well and put together an impressive 2008 to give him a long-term top closer contract with somebody before he retires.
  14. It was obvious. Gagne is our closer, and closers come in during save situations That's obvious? That's not very obvious to me. That sounds like managing robotically. I sure don't want Gagne coming in during a save situation tommorow just because he is our closer.
  15. I still don't understand how people take media press conferences at face value. Guess I'm not really sure what you're saying here. Is there a certain way we're supposed to take a media press conference?
  16. If Gagne keeps up his current pace, he should be available at a very low price next year.
  17. Ned's post-game interviews are always entertaining. 9 times out of 10, a reporter will ask a question that Ned doesn't want to hear but knows he will get asked. He often gives a short, snide answer like "Of course!" There is a slight pause, and the reporter will press for further explanation. So Yost will then give a short, broad explanation. There will be an uncomfortable pause while Ned stares blankly at the reporter, who is then forced to move onto questions about how great certain Brewers played that day, and then Yost is always happy to talk.
  18. On the verge of finally breaking the road sweep streak. 3-1, in extra innings. And STILL can't get it done. Flipping PATHETIC. The years long streak of road series' without a sweep lives on.
  19. Post game press conference, April 20th: Reporter: So, the club currently with a pretty unprecedented pitching staff, 14 pitchers, yet you went with Gagne for the 4th straight day. Why? Yost: (with an angry, defensive look on his face) He's our closer. He's one of the best. We have him to close games. You know, these things happen.
  20. It's like Gagne broke into Mark A's private vault this offseason, stole 10 million dollars, and ran off with the money.
  21. Not sure when Weeks' service time began, but if he has more than 3 years, he'd have to clear waivers.
  22. Okay Gagne, just like yesterday.
