  1. I know he's been struggling, but I hope we don't start seeing Weeks regularly out of the lineup. I know he's taken plenty of heat lately from a lot of us, but who really wants to see Counsell starting over Weeks at 2nd? Yeah, nobody. Plus Weeks, as much as we dog him about his inability with RISP, is a major talent. There's nothing that says he needs to lead off. Try him further down in the lineup. Hart leading off is fine.
  2. I'm driving 3 hours tommorow to go to Tuesday's and Wednesday's games. They had better make it worth my while.
  3. Okay, where do I start? - Yost's in-game management is lousy. Why Gross did not see an AB in the 9th is beyond me. - Corey Hart is not a potential 30/30 guy. He's closer to an AAAA player than a 30/30. - Our catchers have noodle arms, and when they do make a strong throw, it's lucky if it doesn't end up in center. - Weeks is the worst hitter with RISP ever. He's got no discipline whatsoever in clutch situations. - Hall is looking more and more like a one year wonder. Agonizingly, he constantly still tries to pull everything. I would be amazed if Skaalean hasn't addressed this, but this is baffling to me that Hall can't do this. He's done so well when he tries to go the other way. When he tries to pull everything, he looks like a joke up there. - We finally get a good outing from our starter, AT HOME, against a crappy starter, and can't do anything against him. - Do we have any idea how to play smallball anymore? I do recall when Yost came into town him beating his chest and preaching about how this team would be based on fundamentals, effort, doing the little things right, and executing. I really don't want to hear that again until we start actually SEEING it. We're just terrible right now fundamentally. Okay, I do feel a little bit better.
  4. That was the pitch to hit.....Wickman hung one....
  5. Mench goes down harmlessly, as expected. Not sure why we didn't have Gross PH'ing for him. Would be a good time for Hart's 2nd of the year.
  6. Hall is just awful right now. It's Wynegar's fault. Wait....
  7. Can we have a "cuss word" day at Brewerfan.Net?
  8. I cannot believe how fundamentally bad we are right now. A team struggling to hit needs to at least create their own breaks, which we are not doing.
  9. Chuck James keeps it alive with a 2 out basehit. Cute.
  10. Which is baffling to me. Go the other way with it, guys! He hasn't come inside all day!
  11. Is this Chuck James, or Chuck Norris? 7 K's through 4. This is really getting embarrassing.
  12. Shouldn't be a biggie, but 2 runs in 6 innings seems to be a tall order right now for our currently invisible offense.
  13. Today? Rickie has not hit with RISP all season. At all.
  14. Bill Hall, you need to be taken to kangaroo court every time you deliberately try to pull the ball from now on.
  15. Actually, I was just going to mention that other than the leadoff walk, it looks to me like Cappy brought his good stuff today.
  16. I'd guess Hart is in the 8 hole because he's batting .258 with almost no power in almost 100 AB's this year. Not saying he won't turn it around, but right now I don't see anyone who should be batting behind him.
  17. Come on Cap, we need that legit #2 back today!! End this streak!!
  18. I'm guessing the venting thread will be busy tonight. I've stooped to hoping the Dodgers can pull it out against the Cubs today so at least we can hold onto that 5 game lead. If you had told me before that at the end of this 16 game stretch, we'd have a 5 game lead in the division, I would have been somewhat satisfied with that. But not like this. They need to turn it around, and soon. Back home against the also-slumping Braves. That could be good, or bad. I'm going to the games on Tuesday and Wednesday. If we don't pull out at least one of those games, I'm going to have to seriously considering filing a lawsuit against the team for emotional damage and seeking compensation for gas money, tickets, parking, and concessions.
  19. Ballgame. Sweep. Another god-awful game from this ballclub.
  20. Man, Suppan was pitching so well, then he gives up a 0-2 double to Peavy to double the lead. THAT'S why we're frustrated lately. It's 2-0, and it feels insurmountable right now.
  21. We suck at smallball lately. Really, really bad.
  22. Does Gonzalez run with a piano on his back? I can't believe that Counsell had time to get to that ball, bobble it, and make a flip to Hardy at 2nd. That looked like a certain infield single. Somehow, this game is still 1-0.
  23. Against a team like the Cubs, I'd love to knock Zambrano out and get to their pen. Against the Padres, pick your poison. They have one of the best bullpens in the game.
