    I know everyone laughs at so much emphasis being put on one game, but if we want to have any realistic shot of even being in the realms of playoff contenders this season, we need to win this road game. Tommorow's, too.

    Alright, I think that's enough for tonight. Can't believe I fell for the Brewers playoff run tease yet again after the Colorado series.

    Ah, nothing like getting picked off to drive home the point that we are completely lost playing away from Miller Park.

    Whew, attaboy Davis, I was a little concerned that you were going to throw a scoreless inning there for a minute.

    One thing is certain, if this team somehow manages to go on a huge run and make the playoffs, Davis should not see the mound once they get there.

    That's what I can't figure out. If we can play 39-26 baseball at home, that clearly indicates that we do have some kind of ability to win baseball games, right? I mean, I don't expect us to have the same record on the road, but 23-40?? That's just psychological.

    Just another crappy outing for Davis. And it's only the 1st. The run support will need to be plentiful today. Just be happy we didn't sign him to a 5 yr, $45 million contract or so last offseason like we were talking about doing.

    Do we have to bring this guy back to our rotation next year? A month or two of struggles was understandable, but a whole season's worth is tough to take at this point. We have got to start playing better on the road if we are to have any chance. Teams generally play better at home, but the disparity shouldn't be as much as it is with us. Realistically, with 66 losses, we can only afford about 11 more on the season to have a shot at the playoffs. (85-77)

    This is starting to make me nervous. Blowing a 7 run lead to lose this game would be a HUGE letdown.
