  1. Well hopefully they know what they’re doing here. This guy was good in his heyday but has been injured or disastrous since 2022.
  2. I think in terms of pure value added for a run, it has to be Drew Rasmussen. What a boost that would be for the rotation and would give us the 1-2-3 that everyone wants in the postseason.
  3. I just need to acknowledge and appreciate that you said “complement” instead of “compliment.”
  4. Can anyone give any good reason that Luis Lara shouldn’t be our leadoff hitter? He gets on base at a ridiculous clip. .432 in Nashville this year, .444 as a Brewer. Yes obviously small sample size, but his minors numbers suggest it isn’t just some flukey walks. Even if he ends up at .375, with his base stealing ability, that’s more than fine.
  5. Going to be another 1 for 4/5 day for Yeli. Bad by any realistic measurement for a leadoff hitter, and just barely good enough for Murph to think a turnaround is coming and pencil in at the top the first game coming out of the break.
  6. This game would be kind of interesting if Gasser and Koenig had merely been bad and not disastrous.
  7. Brewers: “it’s going to be hard to get Lara up here when we don’t know how to get him the at-bats right now” Also Brewers: (keeps Christian Yelich in the game trailing 14-2 in the 8th inning)
  8. The worst managed series of Murphy’s managerial career.
  9. Is it okay yet to say “this one’s over”, or does anyone want to chastise those who might say that and say “it’s only the 4th inning”?
  10. Zerpa sucked when he was healthy. I don’t think this team is missing him a lot.
  11. Let’s go ahead and stop pretending that it was a really big addition to get Jared Koenig back from injury.
  12. Just a pathetic series. No juice at all.
  13. Sucking against the Pirates in mid July to put a damper on the 1st half just before going into the AS break. A tradition as old as time.
  14. I think we’ve figured out by now that Sanchez is just going to challenge whenever he wants and the team allotment of challenges means nothing to him.
  15. Sanchez has a laundry list of god awful challenges this year but that one takes the cake. A 3-0 count all the way in the zone. What are you doing, man?
  16. My answer is that I believe that Yelich believes he can still do it and isn’t just washed, and probably will continue to believe it longer than the rest of us.
  17. Tristan Peters hit for the cycle yesterday, was named to the AL All-Star team and has a 3 WAR so far for the White Sox this season. For those who aren’t familiar, we traded him in 2022 for an injured Trevor Rosenthal who never threw a pitch for us.
  18. Mitchell, Chourio, Lara, Frelick, and Turang all are better options. Really anyone except Ortiz, honestly.
