  1. This seems like a lot more logical thought process when you’re not playing the Cubs.
  2. Keep sticking with Hamilton and Rengifo, Brewers. It’s totally not going to burn you in the ass eventually,
  3. Sheesh Ashby. Guess those insurance runs look a lot better now.
  4. Go the hell away Hamilton. You can bunt every AB in Nashville.
  5. If we wanted to have a player in our lineup who literally can’t do anything but bunt we could have just kept the old pre-DH NL rules.
  6. Leaving too many runs on the board. The opportunity has been there like yesterday to break this open and we aren’t taking it.
  7. Poor job by Chourio and Turang. No excuse for having a runner on 3rd and nobody out with the top of the order up and not cashing a single run in.
  8. I am really sorry for what I said about you last year, Jake.
  9. Unfortunately he is one Murphy’s preseason favorites. He just gushed about him, said he’s going to be huge for us. I hope that has nothing to with how long his leash will be but it may.
  10. I mean, Pratt makes that play too. It’s just that Hamilton sucks.
  11. Isn’t Pratt’s glove at SS considered best of the best?
  12. If that’s the case, to be fair they can’t typically name more than 5 of their own guys.
  13. Hamilton can still be optioned, though. They’re big believers in roster flexibility.
  14. Yes. It’s a little bit insulting to both your opponents and to your own players to suggest otherwise.
  15. No, just because a lot of people predicted the Cubs to win the division (which could obviously still happen) doesn’t mean the Brewers are being overlooked, disrespected, and “no one knows our names.” It just means the division is very strong and only one team can win it.
  16. I don’t understand it at all. The Brewers have been a highly successful organization for basically the last decade now. We are years past the point of playing the scrappy underdog card. There are at least 5 Brewers on the current roster with All-Star level talent (Turang, Contreras, Yelich, Chourio, Miz). That is without even counting others who have already been in one, like Woodruff and Megill, and other dark horse candidates like Ashby and Harrison. It doesn’t come across as motivational and inspiring. It comes across as a little disparaging to the guys who keep getting you back here.
  17. Murph can we pretty please not do the “awww shucks we’re just a bunch of average guys nobody knows us” thing again this year. I assure you, people do know who Jacob Misiorowski is, who Brice Turang is, who William Contreras is, who Christian Yelich is, etc.
  18. Brice is quietly going through a bit of an extended slump; fortunately other guys are picking him up. Hopefully he’ll be returning the favor before long.
  19. PCA is professionally a hell of a baseball player while personally he seems like a giant doucheflute.
  20. Surprising. That’s the disadvantage of being down to 1 challenge early. You get gunshy.
  21. I understand they really want to try to push Sproat over the hump. But today isn’t the day.
  22. As much as I’d like him to prove otherwise, until he can, Sproat is a 4 inning guy.
