  1. A walk. Yeah, that’s what you want to do there. Aside from a couple outings I just cannot stand to watch Ashby lately.
  2. Atta way Bauers! Lets hold onto this lead and get out of here with a series win.
  3. He’s got 2 years left on his deal and I don’t know how you do it. They aren’t going to DFA him even if he gets even worse. They would hate the PR from that, But if you’ve got 9 better guys, what do you do at some point? He’s useless on the bench without a position. You going to carry a full roster spot just for a late game lefty platoon guy and occasional pinch runner? It’s just not a great situation.
  4. This lineup has fared exactly how well one would expect a lefty heavy lineup to fare against a tough lefty.
  5. I think he’s done, he’s near 100 pitches. Definitely not his best day and the command was lacking but he did enough to keep us in the game.
  6. Probably about as many that have a DH with a .716 OPS.
  7. Come on Vaughn. If you don’t like the call, challenge it. Don’t just stand there in the box silently disagreeing.
  8. I’m just totally lost as to what Murphy was even thinking today. You very nearly have to conclude that he thought Rodriguez is right handed. He doesn’t have huge splits for his career but this season righties are hitting him far better than lefties, No Contreras, and 5 lefties in the lineup including Hamilton who literally never starts against LHP. I’m utterly confused.
  9. Literally one single AB is all it took for Murphy to decide Yelich belongs back in the lineup against tough lefties in a run producing spot.
  10. I get it. The original call sucked. It’s just that this reeks of political influence.
  11. Not tainted in my eyes, but the European fans are going to be absolutely up in arms.
  12. There’s a small part of me that wishes that Balogun just served his suspension tomorrow. It feels like it’s no win now, if we lose then we lose but even if we win, it’s going to be considered controversial and tainted.
  13. Balogun has had his red card suspension suspended and will be eligible to face Belgium. This is pretty shocking, don’t know if this happens if we aren’t a host country, but there is precedent here with Ronaldo.
  14. Meh, it’s really not, though. His highest guaranteed season is at 13M in 2033 after making 11.125M in 2032. Besides that, he never exceeds 5.375M. For perspective, Yelich has more guaranteed money just the rest of this year and his last two guaranteed years in 2027 and 2028, than Pratt has in his entire contract. Pratt is fine. He has already been worth 0.5 WAR in less than 3 weeks just on the strength of a glove that is already high end major league caliber, Pratt has been exactly as advertised to me. I don’t know why anyone thought he was going to come up and rake. He’s 21 and his current prospect profile was one where his glove is clearly far ahead of his bat in development, and his AAA numbers reflected that. Best case scenario, Pratt has a Turang like development with his bat and those 15M options look like highway robbery by the mid 2030s. Worst case scenario, his bat doesn’t ever come around and in 3-4 years we’re either shopping him or he’s hanging around as more of a utility infielder/late defensive sub. Either way, it’s not going to have much of an impact on our bottom line.
  15. While all true, that’s why the original statement on my part was “if I suddenly received 22 million dollars.”
  16. Very disappointing, you should win this game 8 out of 10 times.
  17. That run allowed in the top of the 9th looms large.
  18. Judging by Turang’s AB this is going to be over quickly.
  19. Between Ortiz, Pratt and Hamilton…. we need at least one guy, we need better. we don’t need them all to be better, but we need at least one dude on that side of the infield that can hit,
  20. The Bauers ABs tonight with 2 outs and RISP are what really did us in,
