  1. Leonard is interesting to me as a guy who might actually be the best “fit” to get a shot right now. He’s a journeyman minor leaguer, not really a prospect but he’s also only still 25 and raking. He’s never had a shot at the bigs, so he’s still an unknown. I guess my thought process on Leonard is, out of him, Pratt and Jett, Leonard is the one you could bring up for Rengifo and not really worry too much about him not playing every day and not really feel like anything is lost if you have to cut bait, and just might get a Casey McGehee type surprise out of him. I don't really know much about his glove which is obviously pretty important to him getting a shot with this organization.
  2. We could have added Aaron Judge at the trade deadline and the NLCS would have been no different. Maybe we would have lost in 5 instead of 4.
  3. Serious question because I don’t know the answer — why is it necessary for a player in High A Ball to have a “rehab” assignment at a lower level?
  4. Crazy as it sounds because you would not know it by the box score but this was far from our best pitching performance. Got away with a ton of mistake pitches tonight. That's baseball, we might make very few mistakes tomorrow and the Dodgers might punish them anyway. I’ll take it!
  5. The biggest thing working against him on being a starter is how good he is out of the pen. The pen is so much better with Patrick available out of it.
  6. Why even bother entertaining that guy? We all know he can’t be taken seriously and does nothing but poke his head in for a tired jab from time to time.
  7. He had 3 years in Anaheim where he was serviceable so I get what they were thinking. But he was not good last year and has been even worse this year so yeah he’s probably cooked.
  8. Great play by Vaughn. But my god is Rengifo a liability on this team in every way.
  9. Look, you get what you get with Bauers in LF. He’s not good. Worth it to get both him and Vaughn in the lineup right now? Probably. Sucks that Yelich is pretty much DH only at this point.
  10. Hamilton can at least be optioned. But Rengifo has a -0.5 WAR entering tonight. It’s getting tough to keep putting him out there.
  11. We have internal options that are better than Rengifo that we for some reason refuse to go to.
  12. So was that confirmed heat stroke ? They’ve been ultra conservative with him for the last month bringing him back.
  13. Gervase looks like he’s tweaking out between every pitch.
  14. Man this homeplate umpire sucks. With all the bad calls to choose from I don’t know how we blew our challenges on two pitches he actually got right.
  15. Also, probably only gonna give you 5 innings, but they’ll usually be good ones,😅
  16. We gotta be better challenging balls and strikes than we have been this season.
  17. Is Pete Incaviglia bad in left? I have no idea who that is.
  18. Fastball/changeup type guy. Deceptive fastball that plays faster than it is because of their respective release points.
  19. Am I the only one that sees a ton of similarities between Logan Henderson and Freddy Peralta?
  20. He just strikes me as someone who has reached a point where he needs a change of scenery, a new perspective from a different hitting coach, etc. If Arnold can get cash, a low level lottery ticket, anything at all, I think it would be a good thing for both sides. My only guess on Lara is with him being 21 and possibly having a bright future in Milwaukee they don’t want him coming up here to take on a minor role right now and would rather him continue playing every day in Nashville.
  21. Bauers in LF and Chourio in CF was the (correct) call. I cannot really justify Perkins in the lineup at all. I can’t really justify him on the roster given the guys knocking on the door in Nashville, but that’s a different conversation.
