  1. Didn’t see the play, just heard on the radio. Was Frelick dogging it or what happened?
  2. I’ve just had it with David Hamilton. Get Jett up already. Your objective with a runner on 3rd and 1 out is to drive the runner on 3rd in. Not to sacrifice the guy on 1st to 2nd. Terrible baseball. If you can’t swing the bat when the situation calls for it, you don’t belong in a major league lineup. Murphy so desperately wants Hamilton to be good. He’s not.
  3. The scoreboard isn’t a huge problem, but you’re looking at a bullpen game today.
  4. That's the price you’ll pay for leadoff walks.
  5. I'm assuming that Rengifo can’t be optioned, but he’s certainly not bulletproof from a DFA. Perkins, Ortiz, and Mitchell all certainly can, and all should be on notice. Frelick isn’t untouchable. I am not sure about Hamilton. There are moves the Brewers can make that still preserve roster flexibility. Pratt coming up for Ortiz couldn’t be easier, procedurally. Bringing up Jett and/or Lara requires a 40 man roster spot, but they can create one anytime by moving Zerpa to the 60.
  6. The Brewers IMO really have a pitching staff that fits a piggyback approach very well. Sproat, Patrick, and Henderson all really fit the bill well.
  7. You had like 3-4 people here say leave Patrick in well ahead of the result.
  8. Please tell me Uribe is only warming in case Patrick gets in trouble.
  9. Perkins is approaching .100. It’s an old school pitcher hitting. You can’t keep throwing this out there.
  10. I see absolutely no reason not to just let Patrick take this home.
  11. I’m sure he is a nice person. He’s not worth much as a baseball player.
  12. I'm not very happy with the Brewers doing it either.
  13. Too many really bad ABs sandwiched around the good hard contact ABs.
  14. Rengifo looks like a right handed Eric Thames. Until you watch him bat and then it’s more like a right handed David Hamilton.
  15. Me too. It’s just the nature of the business. You eventually have to perform.
  16. What does everyone think of Eddys Leonard? His numbers this year are eye popping in Nashville - yet he doesn’t even crack our organizational top 30. Is he just likely a journeyman organizational filler on an unsustainable short burst, or is there MLB potential here?
  17. Given the situation, I would have been forgivable if the pitch was close. It wasn’t.
  18. Sanchez, man. Enough with the bad challenges this year.
  19. He was never higher than 5, but that was a pretty weak system after the first few. There was a reason we only got a rental reliever and a lottery ticket reliever for him.
  20. I agree with this too. I think some managers are a better for fit some cultures better than others. You’ve seen managers that can win a World Series in one place and last a season or two elsewhere before getting fired.
  21. That turned out to be a BIG overturned ball/strike call.
  22. I love Chourio, but the last two games have been hard on the eyes. Strikeouts in and of themselves aren’t overly concerning to me. Strikeouts where he’s consistently chasing pitches that are nowhere near the zone are a little concerning.
  23. I’m really glad for him that he got the big hit on Mothers’ Day, but it is getting really, really hard to justify Perkins being on this roster over Lara.
