  1. Lara seems about right to me, I understand the big drop by Jett too. Thought Pena would fall more. But Fischer not being on the list is inconceivable to me.
  2. I really think this is a big turning point game for Sproat. This is the one where it’s kind of either “okay I really think he’s figured something out” or “it maybe was just a couple nice games.”
  3. Well that is a very nice way to word “enormous paycut”.! I get it though, they need an arm in this stretch.
  4. A lot of us (myself included): “Ma God. We have no bullpen. We can’t hit. What are we gonna do? How could things get worse? Will we even have the division lead by the AS break?” Actual Brewers: (6-2 in their last 8) 🤣
  5. It’s hard to imagine a scenario where Joey Ortiz is still on this roster next season.
  6. Does Gary think it’s 2 challenges per player per game? he is unbelievably selfish with the challenges.
  7. This Lodold guy is throwing junk and we still can’t do anything against him.
  8. I mean he wasn’t even lighting up AAA. I had no issue with bringing him up, and still don’t, because the alternatives weren’t any better but there was no real evidence that Pratt was going to hit any better than Ortiz.
  9. We don’t even need a hit half the time. Just hit a damn medium deep fly ball. And we can’t even do that.
  10. Offensively, I can’t imagine there’s a less intimidating starting left side of an infield in baseball as Pratt/Ortiz.
  11. Hopefully part of Vogelbach’s process isn’t to advise him to do like he would have done.
  12. In very, very few circumstances do I ever favor swinging 3-0. Certainly not when the pitcher is having control troubles and you’ve been having trouble getting on base lately.
  13. Oh yes, let’s green light our hitters on 3-0 counts, it’s been working out so well to trust our bats lately.
  14. Paraguay over Germany is a pretty massive upset. We put up 4 goals on that team. Frankly, they never even looked competitive in that game.
  15. He is a 31 year old journeyman that has not had a very good career and was just DFAed by the Athletics. Chances are far greater that he won’t be on this roster by August.
  16. Some good news - Henderson’s rehab start went very, very well. I wouldn’t wait long on him.
  17. It’s game thread specific. If you’ve been in the main threads pretty much everyone acknowledges that the Brewers are one of the best run organizations in baseball. Even the ones who think Murphy’s in game decisions are questionable mostly acknowledge that he’s the right fit for this team.
  18. It’s a game thread. It’s going to be in the moment reactions. It’s literally the virtual version of you sitting at a bar watching the game and listening to how other people there react after a play.
  19. Then leave. All you do is piss and moan on your high horse about everyone else’s game thread reactions anyway. You realize we have to protect the arms of Miz and Harrison to actually be available in October, right? They are going to need to be limited, whether they are pitching well or not. They can’t send continually send Miz out for 100 plus pitches, or they aren’t going to last for when they actually need them. They have to find a way to limit them, whether that be from a short IL stint at some point, or a 6 man rotation, or shorter innings. It should not be that hard for you to understand.
  20. My thought is that if Woodruff is piggybacking he doesn’t need to be on 5 days rest, My hope with Miz and Harrison is that they could have shorter outings with a more rested pen with 3 of the 5 spots on piggyback. I don’t know. They need to try something. Winning isn’t sustainable with this bullpen and the McGees and Yohos available aren’t going to help anything.
  21. rotation: Miz Harrison Woodruff/Henderson piggyback Sproat/Patrick piggyback Gasser/Drohan piggyback Get rid of Kuhnel, only Uribe, Megill, Koenig, Ashby and Anderson left in the pen. Then upgrade from Anderson at the deadline and get rid of him. I'm not even kidding. Pen can’t blow games if they’re not pitching.
  22. Embellishment of the century. There’s loads of threads and posts on this board praising both the front office and management on this team. 95% of people here know what we have.
  23. I know this is a tough concept, but they are different prospects with different offensive skill sets and have had very different offensive seasons. I’ve been saying since Pratt was brought up that we shouldn’t expect much more from him than about what Ortiz does offensively.
