  1. Our Conteras with the 3 run dinger would be so fitting here.
  2. How is Willson Contreras going to explain that one to his kids?
  3. I realize we weren’t going to keep Corbin Burnes anyway, but that trade has yielded a whole lot of nothing.
  4. I have absolutely no idea what Murphy was thinking this inning. It’s like he just conceding a game.
  5. I guess we’ll never know. A Brewer pitcher throwing intentionally at a hitter on a non-rival team not even in our league just for admiring a HR seems so random that I’m not sure it was intentional or if Peralta just did it on his own. I can’t see Murphy playing that game when they’ve had 100 moments that justified it more.
  6. We haven’t played that game since the Ned Yost days. Seriously. Think of one retaliatory beanball in the last 15 years or so. Maybe one in the Roenicke era, but not that I recall.
  7. How did Yelich get his finger in there? It looked like he was going to be a dead duck.
  8. What a terrible home plate umpire. If you’re not going to ask for help on a check swing, you better be right. He wasn’t.
  9. Of all the guys you let get to you with two outs, you just had to let that turd Contreras get to you. Bad 2-2 pitch.
  10. Just hard to guess what Murphy was thinking with that approach.
  11. I would have put Watson and Reed as maybe a 3rd each in value and Wicks closer to a 5th. But then the Bills just gave up a 2nd for DJ Moore who seemed like more of a cut candidate than anything so now I just have no idea.
  12. Joey Wiemer’s .588 batting average may not be sustainable … I absolutely hated that trade for Montas — and Wiemer may in fact plummet back down to earth - but, given the fact that Wiemer was DFAed in December and available to anyone, if he pans out, hard to blame any GM, just credit to the Nats. But I hope he does pan out as a late bloomer.
  13. Walking the 9 hitter on 4 pitches with a 3 run lead isn’t ideal.
  14. Without looking it up, which came first, Interleague play or the Brewers move to the NL?
  15. I get irrationally annoyed when a city with a scheduled MLB baseball game involving the Brewers has rain and doesn’t have a retractable roof to deal with the situation.
  16. You know he’s good when I feel like he wasn’t really at his best today and he went 6 innings with 7 K’s and 2 runs allowed.
  17. Are the Rays out of challenges? That 1-1 pitch from Hall to Williamson was clearly low.
  18. Should be fine for DL Hall now. Hell, should be fine if they want to bring Andrew Chafin back for an inning.
  19. Seymour did not get countered ONE time of the 9 hitters he faced this series. He faced 8 lefties and a switch hitter. Not one natural righty. Naturally, he mowed them all down. Come on with the lineup construction here.
  20. Seymour has faced 6 hitters this series and all 6 were lefties. What are we even doing here, Murph?
