It’s no more or less of a deal than anyone who believed in “Uek magic”. I understand it didn’t “really” affect anything, but baseball is a funny sport like that and you end up in a lot of situations that seem to have some irony in them.
To each their own, I thought it was kind of petty and dumb. I thought that moment should have been about what we accomplished and not about the Cubs and their stupid traditions.
