  1. Bummed about how this NLCS has went, but sure excited about the future of Miz and Chad Patrick contributing to this pitching staff.
  2. I know this series hasn’t been fun, but you can’t get to the World Series by winning 62 games. Bring on the expectations. It makes the lows hard, but do we really want the Brewers of the late 90s and early 2000s back?
  3. Just trying to make his manager look good for the opener strategy.
  4. He’s an ok guy to take the ball every 5th day in the regular season as your 5th guy. He really isn’t a guy you want to trust to get outs in the NLCS in an elimination game.
  5. This is about the kind of result I would have expected tonight when you start a pitcher like Jose Quintana against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Not that they really had a choice. But maybe we can forget about the idea that opening games with Ashby in any way negatively affected this series.
  6. Tonight would have been the night. Murphy is going down with his guys.
  7. Ortiz struck out on 6 pitches. That’s an impressive AB for him.
  8. Perkins on! Someone needs to run into one this inning and make it 3-2. Somehow.
  9. For sure. Disappointed about this series. Proud of this season.
  10. He’s a Cubs fan, so he doesn’t care about all that.
  11. He’s here to provoke, nothing more. Not even worth the time.
  12. It’s no more or less of a deal than anyone who believed in “Uek magic”. I understand it didn’t “really” affect anything, but baseball is a funny sport like that and you end up in a lot of situations that seem to have some irony in them.
  13. To each their own, I thought it was kind of petty and dumb. I thought that moment should have been about what we accomplished and not about the Cubs and their stupid traditions.
  14. You don’t see the irony in flying an L flag and then losing every single game after that point?
  15. Good for them. I’m pulling for the Mariners all the way now.
  16. I admire your efforts to try to keep a positive spin on this. It can’t be easy.
  17. Chourio was literally our only offensive production just 2 games ago.
  18. That should at least quiet the posts about how dumb of a strategy the opener has been.
  19. The other two guys who struck out have contributed in the playoffs.
  20. Maybe next time don’t fly an “L” flag after winning the NLDS. Baseball has an ironic sense of humor.
  21. “See you tommorrow” 🙄 Good call, Murph. Some well-placed confidence there.
