  1. ON: 3B Luis Rengifo, signed The 40-man roster is full.
  2. ON: C Gary Sanchez, signed The 40-man roster is at 39.
  3. The signing has yet to be posted on the Brewers site, I was looking for it.
  4. OFF: 3B Caleb Durbin, traded SS Andruw Monasterio, traded 2B Anthony Seigler, traded ON: P Shane Drohan, acquired P Kyle Harrison, acquired 2B David Hamilton, acquired The 40-man roster is at 38.
  5. Breezy Johnson wins gold in the Women's Downhill. Loses a little luster when Lindsay Vonn crashes out 13 seconds in. I was up at 4:30 to watch live. Not to diminish the seriousness of the situation, but it was interesting to view the rescue effort and everything that went into it and how the event handled it. Thirty minutes in all. NBC cut away after the 24th skier, so I switched to Peacock. Then the Andorran skier (#26) crashes and had to airlift her out as well. Since it involved Andorra, NBC didn't feel the need to mention that. Then the competition finishes up with the South American skiers (Chilean and Argentinian). ETA; The addition of drone footage during the Alpine races is pretty cool.
  6. The two terminuses of Interstate 90 battling it out in The Big Game. Patriots DB play impresses me. Now, waiting for social media to blow up.
  7. Badger women playing sloppy defense.
  8. Interesting Opening Ceremonies. Apparently, multiple site games are now the new normal. I thought having the Parade of Nations at four different locations simultaneously was outside-the-box thinking and pulled off well.
  9. I'll chime in on my desired order: Patriots - the city of Boston has been good to me. Seahawks - Seattle is my second favorite city. (The Hail Mary doesn't bother me. A poorly played game neither team deserved to win). Rams - I've enjoyed my times in L.A. Broncos - Elway belongs in the Hall of Shame.
  10. OFF: P Freddy Peralta, traded The 40-man roster is at 38.
  11. I watch minimal college football, but sat down for this one because...Indiana. Nothing flukey about it, either. Just the best team. Glad the two penalties at the end didn't ruin their dream season. Closer than I thought would be. But happy for them. Their fans had it worse than Wisconsin fans 1963-1992. To switch to a more trivial note, why was the football championship trophy unlike the NCAA championship trophies the other sports are awarded?
  12. Sorry Bears, when your win probability is reduced to under 5% three times in six games, you're gonna lose at least one. I didn't get excited over the winning FG because I thought for sure Johnson would TO just before the snap. Oh, it's going to count?
  13. When I was a student at the UW, players were sticking up for Don Morton.
  14. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/win_prob.cgi Not sure how accurate this calculator is, but I'm using it. Week 16: Prior to the onside kickoff, win prob = 98.6% WC: @ 5:37 Chicago 4th-and-8, win prob = 99.7% Losing one game, it happens. Losing both, no longer bad luck. Now a matter of coaching/execution/whatever.
  15. Is anyone surprised by this result?
  16. Back in 1997, Commissioner Selig stated that Milwaukee's move to the NL was going to be the first of many moves in a divisional alignment make over.
  17. Re: USPS. It is my understanding that about five years ago distribution centers started closing to save money. I believe letters mailed from Madison to Madison first have to go through Milwaukee. But, I may be wrong.
  18. Two missed XP. I guess 1-AA schools don't have enough scholarships for kickers.
  19. 2024...Bears...
  20. Despite the recent history, I'm still a Rodgers fan. The only reason I watched the last nine minutes of this one. Wow.
  21. Fluky play to end Colts-Texans. Said to my wife "watch Houston score a defensive TD on this play". What a way for Indy to cap their dismal downfall. And I had to look it up, it didn't cause any $$$ to change hands.
  22. Contrary to what most feel, I'm glad they got the FG to avoid the shut out. Even with that, it looked as if MLF was going to blow that.
  23. I'm curious about the tonight's UW-River Falls game. I think I'll watch some of it.
  24. I watched "Miracle" for the first time on Thursday. I was not aware that Mark Ciardi was the producer.
