  1. 6-1. The only loss the HR derby game where I didn't arrive until the 6th. Next game: NLCS.
  2. OFF: P Joel Payamps, DFA ON: P Bruce Zimmerman, selected The 40-man roster is full.
  3. I had two options this afternoon: Option A) Watch Badgers football. Option B) Watch the replay of the women's marathon World Championship race from last Saturday. I made the correct choice. And was more entertained.
  4. Yes, I know I posted last month in the IGT, but you're getting it again.
  5. The one element of the 1987 "Team Streak" that no one cares to discuss (the sitting streak).
  6. Today, FS1 on their crawl "MIL - LHP Nestor Cortes placed on the 15-day IL."
  7. OFF: P Shelby Miller, 60-day IL ON: P Joel Payamps, selected The 40-man roster is full.
  8. "Hey, Nineteen"
  9. OFF: P Logan Henderson, 60-day IL 3B Oliver Dunn, DFA ON: P Erick Fedde, signed P Robert Gasser, activated The 40-man roster is full.
  10. We all love Charlie, but he couldn't hit for a catcher. Hence, the trade for Simmons. Moore either moves to RF or rides the bench as a backup C.
  11. Hawing is correct. My photographic memory isn't always spot on. Lorn Brown was Uecker's partner in '80 and '81. Mosley in '82 and '83. I thought they both were "meh". WISN had the radio rights in '81 and '82. Background: I was in attendance at the game. I didn't have privy to the calls until after the fact. Then I heard it was Mosley who did the ninth and it always stuck with me all these years why Ueck wasn't doing the ninth. It wasn't until the film came out last fall that I see extensive coverage of the locker room and Ueck was there for television, therefore unavailable for radio. So that is why seeing that clip on Sunday caught me by surprise. It is Mosley's voice in the posted video. My fears are confirmed. Disappointed the Brewers would do this. Also, pretty disrespectful to Dwayne Mosely.
  12. And I placed a wager on the Cowboys Wednesday. Sigh.
  13. OK, I may get flamed for this one. During the Uecker Tribute on Sunday, clips were played of his famous radio calls. One clip was the final out in '82 against the Angels. I could swear to my dying day that Loren Brown worked the radio in the ninth and Uecker was in the clubhouse working for ABC. Please tell me this isn't a case of history revisionism. If so, I will be very disappointed.
  14. #15 Cooper and upon further review, I believe #6 Sal Bando(?)
  15. Not sure if this is the right thread, but I see no other place. During the ceremony, it was mentioned twice that he stayed close to the team by throwing BP each day. My contribution. Bob Uecker finishing BP, Metropolitan Stadium, 1979.
  16. Was running a little late to the game tonight, so almost passed up on the getting my usual scorecard. But quick got one anyways thinking "what if...". And still got to my seat one second before the first pitch.
  17. Mark Ciardi. I was thinking of him Saturday when the team was going for 14. Mark Ciardi was the staring pitcher the game the 1987 Brewers were going for the 14-0 season start.
  18. 6-0!
  19. Long time, no see! :)
  20. Hawing, when I leave this world, I'll gift you my "What's Brewing?" 45.
  21. OFF: P Elvis Peguero, DFA P Bryan Hudson, DFA ON: P Shelby Miller, acquired OF Brandon Lockridge, acquired The 40-man roster is full.
  22. Correct. 4/25/2025 STL -0.237 Capra GIDP in 9th 5/24/2025 PIT -0.284 Turang GIDP to end game 6/23/2025 PIT -0.222 Durbin CS in the 9th 7/13/2025 WSH -0.240 Contreras GIDP to end 8th 7/27/2025 FLA -0.207 Durbin GIDP to end 6th
  23. OFF: C Eric Haase, DFA ON: C Danny Jansen, acquired The 40-man roster is full.
  24. With his ground rule double Sunday, Vaughn has what I call four "big hits" on the season already, what I arbitrarily call a PA that moves the win probably twenty points or more. I've been tracking this for a few years now. Chourio 7 big hits Vaughn 4 big hits Durbin 4 big hits, 1 bad hit, 1 bad run Frelick 3 big hits Turang 3 big hits, 1 bad hit Collins 2 big hits Contreras 2 big hits, 1 bad hit Hoskins 2 big hits Yelich 2 big hits Bauers 1 big hit Ortiz 1 big hit Capra 0 big hits, 1 bad hit
