  1. Absolutely. Cardinals fans have no leg to stand on anymore and it couldn't have happened to a better group. The MLB is going to drop the hammer down. That is probably the least of the concerns for those in the Cardinals front office. The mere fact that the FBI and justice department are involved mean people are likely going to go to prison.
  2. Thanks, watching on gameday so I was really confused why the 2nd base umpire tossed him. Makes sense now.
  3. Bill Murray = Mayor Gunderson. Love it. This last season has been ok, but I will miss this show.
  4. Plenty of good college coaches busted in the NFL and Wisconsin shouldn't avoid him for that reason. By that logic Nick Saban and Steve Spurrier should still be unemployed. Schiano had a great deal of success at Rutgers, I think Wisconsin could do a lot worse than him.
  5. I wouldn't say that Miami is in a great position. He hasn't seen a live game since taking a fastball to the face and it is not like the same injury hasn't completely derailed people's careers before. I think I would have waited a bit to make sure he is the same player before I gave him a $300 million guaranteed.
  6. To be fair I don't think AP has an accurate count of all his kids. It looks like he is done for the year too. I saw the pictures of what he did to his kid on deadspin and it's awful.
  7. I don't think anyone on this board would be able to guess who is at the bottom of that list.
  8. Here is an interesting take on who killed Joffrey. http://www.buzzfeed.com/ryanhatesthis/heres-exactly-how-the-biggest-jerk-in-all-of-game-of-thrones
  9. That sounded like Mike Jacobs from TMJ4. He asked the dumbest question of the conference when he asked if Braun would renegotiate his contract. It was interesting to learn that he had dinner with the Dino last night.
  10. Braun to answer questions from the media today. He will be a a Brewers charity event so who knows how much he is willing to say but it should still be interesting. JSOnline will have a live blog apparently.
  11. Wow he wore out his welcome in Detroit really fast.
  12. How this was initially called an out is beyond me, the ump was ten feet away and in the perfect position. Glad they got the call right eventually though. http://l.yimg.com/os/publish-images/sports/2013-10-23/e6fedd19-49a6-475e-ad07-8e14ac092a13_World-Series-Bad-Call.gif
  13. Rough postseason for Prince. He now has gone 18 straight post season games without an RBI, which is a record. Also, this happened: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qFmEF5JzcQY/UmNBUxLdPdI/AAAAAAAADEo/hTTrhuun_G4/s1600/Prince+flop.gif
  14. Someone made a t-shirt over the McCann-Gomez confrontation. http://teespring.com/uploads/2013/09/27/17/121791/shirtFront.jpg?v=2013-09-27 http://teespring.com/braveshouse
  15. http://www.foxsportswisconsin.com/mlb/milwaukee-brewers/story/Corey-Hart-says-he-owes-Brewers-would-ta?blockID=941759&feedID=5059 Hart says he owes the Brewers and would take a paycut to stay here. He said he would be "very generous."
  16. Comments like these get me. Braun freely offering to potentially walk away from $100+ million would not be a good-will gesture, would be insanity and people need to stop entertaining this as even being an option. Would you honestly do the same thing if you were Braun? I know I wouldn't. The Brewers took the risk when signing Braun and they will live with the consequences. Braun should not be judged for he failure to give away millions of dollars that is contractually owed to him, regardless of how much PED's did or didn't help his prior performance.
  17. I can't speak for anyone else but I completely understand if you haven't forgiven Braun. It is reasonable to feel burned by what he did and to want more answers to questions that you might have. What has caused me to chime in is the holier-than-thou attitude taken by many here (not you). Posts like "he is continuing to lie. We all know it." and "once a liar always a liar" is just like the garbage that comes out of the media and reflects poorly on us as fans. Don't stoop to the levels of Onley and Passan people, we are better than that.
  18. This is so condescending it is ridiculous. Are you saying you have never lied in your life? I know I have lied in the past yet this fact does not make me a perpetual liar. I wonder if you would feel the same way if someone shined as bright a spotlight on your personal life as they have Braun's. Braun was caught in a very public lie and it has cost him millions of dollars in salary and lost endorsements. I think that is punishment enough.
  19. Just a thought, but has any of the other suspended players sat down for an interview? I have only heard of some issuing statements. If not, it may be a sign that MLB is still controlling what the players can say and how they can say it until after the A-Rod saga has ended. If Braun did sit down for an interview, he might be asked a question about something MLB doesn't want him answering quite yet.
  20. You're right, no one has ever confessed to something that they did simply for the fact that they want to come clean. People do this all the time, whether because of guilt or they just get sick and tired of covering up the truth.
  21. Intersting read from Ken Rosenthal. His "sources" actually seem to back Braun's story. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/ryan-braun-breaks-silence-on-suspension-no-one-to-blame-but-myself-milwaukee-brewers-bud-selig-082213
  22. I sincerely hope he is being truthful in his statement because he lists pretty specific information that could easily be refuted by MLB such as his claim that he wasn't shown any evidence by MLB. Additionally, if there was any evidence that Braun did use other in late 2011 from the Bosch files then MLB could easily squash this statement as well. Oh well, lets hope this is the first step in a long road of rehabilitating his image and reputation.
