I remember watching the Brewers teams in the early 2000s. They were bad and hadn't seen playoffs in decades. They couldn't even play .500 ball for over a decade. At the same time Braves fans were complaining that Atlanta could win the East every year but couldn't do anything in the playoffs. I thought to myself that I would be happy to win my division every year even with no playoff success.
I keep having to remember my younger self. It sucks to never have a trophy but we have to enjoy what we do have. I believe the Brewers are working on never having an extended "be bad to rebuild" again and I can appreciate that.
The X from McCalvy posted 6 messages up show him with a Brewers hat in what appears to be the Brewers clubhouse. I imagine he is available for Sunday but just wasn't used. Players do have 72 hours before they have to report to the new team. Or maybe he was just using that time to get him/his family situated for moving to a new home on Sun.
Yeah, the Nats have given up runs twice after they scored runs. It's a problem.
Both teams have done it. It doesn't seem to matter when the runs are given back, as long as you allow less runs than you score by the end of nine innings.
