I think active broadcasters are eligible for HoF because legendary ones work forever. Waiting until retirement would have meant Vin Scully would still not be eligible after 65 years of broadcasting. Most ballplayers are able to be on the ballot by the time they are 45. Why make broadcasters wait until they are 65?

I like Hoskins over Bauers. I think the Brewers like that Bauers can play OF (Yellich, Chourio, and Frelick all have nagging injuries) and he can run the bases better. My guess is that they would send Bauers down now if they didn't have to DFA to do so.

10-14. Bullpen is worn down. They get rested for the playoffs. Lots of off days for regulars to keep them rested. These will cost 1-2 games in Sept.

I think a broadcast mentioned that it's based on whether the opponent starter is lefty or righty. Even though both Turang and Frelick bat lefty, Murphy prefers one over the other against lefties. I'm too lazy to see how true that is (the reason or the stats to back that up).

The 2011 team felt like a team of destiny. Fielder ASG MVP meant NL had WS home field advantage. Great starters, hitters to out SLG any team, emergence of Plush... This year's team feels better. Bullpen seems great, no white flag long/middle relievers. The starter that gives me the most "uh-oh" is the "ace". Still think he's great. I feel a win when anyone else starts. Every position player (including bench) can play D and hit. They also seem to all like each other and it shows.

NFL also has non-guaranteed contracts. It's a lot easier to lock up good players if you know you can cut them later. -

That was a good throw by Vaughn. He's even fielding really good. Amazing how much better players are when they are having fun. With a day off and a rested bullpen I'd be quick with the hook on Freddy.

Inside info from when I used to be a STH: the entrance would get boxes of bobbleheads to give out. Certain entire boxes were the "special" ones and the workers knew which ones. They would randomly grab from those boxes to hand out. to spread out the specials. This was before the mass security so maybe they don't have time to mix it up anymore? I always entered in the same gate and became friends with the workers. When the supervisor saw me she would call me over and swap with me. That way I got a "specual" and my wife got a "regular". -

The pitchers cared, They didn't want to have to pitch in a 12th inning but also didn't want to groove a pitch in the 11th to make sure the game ended.

Abreu would slot perfectly in left field for the Milwaukee Brewers and allow Christian Yelich to be a full-time designated hitter. - TJFrench I guess Yelich having 347 PA as DH means he isn't a full-time DH since he has 39 PA as LF.
