It was one of the reasons I stopped being a season ticket holder years ago. It seemed like everyone around me were talking about how cheap their tickets. It was less than even my "discounted" season seats. I had also moved 30 minutes farther from the stadium and this was before the Pace of Play when games where 3.5 hours every work night.
I've been watching the Mets feed for today's game. They mentioned that MLB said no team can celebrate until after the 2nd game. So you could have both the losing and winning teams celebrate at the end of the day.
Come on, Braves. Tie game 1 back up.
It's always been there. It's a "window" from the tunnels beneath the stadium to see the field. The ground crew used it during games. The door is solid so there was no other way to know when it was time to come out and clean up the field between innings. The ballpark was first built without TVs everywhere (which is what they probably use now). There isn't much use as there used to be since you can only see the outfield from that vantage point.
The phillies dominated the brewers for one series this season. My only hope is this is the only time the dbacks dominate us this year. I fear we're seeing our first 4+ losing streak.
I went and watched it today. It was good with interesting inside info and thoughts. And real emotions from the players. It was amazing how quickly my blood turned cold with the first mention of Willie McGee.
