  1. But he provides HR. How else would we get that out of 1b?
  2. I'm watching on espn2 and read about leadoff hr before the ab.
  3. It's on espn2? I'm not sure I get that with YouTube. Gee, it's hard for fans to even find the game they want to watch. Why is viewership going down?
  4. It was one of the reasons I stopped being a season ticket holder years ago. It seemed like everyone around me were talking about how cheap their tickets. It was less than even my "discounted" season seats. I had also moved 30 minutes farther from the stadium and this was before the Pace of Play when games where 3.5 hours every work night.
  5. We're not to the 9th inning in game 1 and both closers have a blown save.
  6. I've been watching the Mets feed for today's game. They mentioned that MLB said no team can celebrate until after the 2nd game. So you could have both the losing and winning teams celebrate at the end of the day. Come on, Braves. Tie game 1 back up.
  7. Good call that 84 wins would have been enough to win the NL Central.
  8. Yes. I don't want Arizona. Plus they would be the better rested team.
  9. It's always been there. It's a "window" from the tunnels beneath the stadium to see the field. The ground crew used it during games. The door is solid so there was no other way to know when it was time to come out and clean up the field between innings. The ballpark was first built without TVs everywhere (which is what they probably use now). There isn't much use as there used to be since you can only see the outfield from that vantage point.
  10. Wife and I were saying the same thing. Not sure what happened to him and hope it's minor.
  11. What about game 2 after we dropped the first one to the D-Backs?
  12. The phillies dominated the brewers for one series this season. My only hope is this is the only time the dbacks dominate us this year. I fear we're seeing our first 4+ losing streak.
  13. Swarber shortened his stroke and made sure he hiy the ball. Adames likes to try to homer on those outside pitches.
  14. I went and watched it today. It was good with interesting inside info and thoughts. And real emotions from the players. It was amazing how quickly my blood turned cold with the first mention of Willie McGee.
  15. Would the d-backs ph with a rhh for Smith? That might have played into the discussion.
  16. I work for a company that advertises on golfers. The c-suite goes nuts about how our search numers go up after one of our golfers does well.
  17. Only good news is football in ten minutes to take my mind off this team.
  18. Hoby was on the edge, had the batter off balance, and got a weak grounder. Just bad luck it got through.
  19. Ends up the offense was fine. It was just a good job by the other pitcher. And the ump.
  20. Nope. It's because William isn't out there. No more off days for him.
