  1. Errors Chances Innings E/Chance E/Inning Rickie Weeks 20 331 586 0.06 0.03 Bill Hall(at SS) 8 152 375 0.05 0.02 Seeing as Rickie already has a sizeable lead on Bill Hall, I'd say that you are overreacting, KCBrewerfan.
  2. How does a player with 295 total plate appearances, 73 hits, 23 walks, and 14 hbp have an OBP of .375? I get .373 when I compute it. (These are Rickie Weeks's numbers according to brewers.mlb.com as of right now.) The only thing I can think of is that SF aren't counted as plate appearances for OBP. Rickie has 2 SF, leading to an OBP of 110/293 if that's how it is computed, which would be .375. If someone can let me know if this is right or not, that'd be great.
  3. I blame Jim Powell for this one. "The Reds are 0 for their last 24 with runners in scoring position." Immediately after he says that, Dunn hits one out. He said that sentence, and then Kolb threw the pitch. It was ridiculous.
  4. Wow...I don't understand the irrational hatred for Jenkins. I suppose some people are very quick to forget who our best hitter was last year (he wasn't too bad before last year, either).
  5. It ticks me off that Corey Hart is grossly unappreciated by Ned Yost. (ha ha ha)
  6. Starting Lineups: Padres Avg D. Roberts, lf .272 M. Cameron, cf .241 B. Giles, rf .278 J. Bard, c .377 K. Greene, ss .230 A. Gonzalez, 1b .261 V. Castilla, 3b .227 J. Barfield, 2b .260 M. Thompson, p .000 Brewers R. Weeks, 2b .302 B. Clark, cf .281 G. Jenkins, rf .258 B. Hall, ss .264 P. Fielder, 1b .297 C. Koskie, 3b .268 D. Miller, c .278 G. Gross, lf .243 D. Davis, p .080 Wow, Corey Hart continues to not exist in Ned Yost's mind. I don't care if this M. Thompson guy throws right-handed, that's just inexcusable to give a start to Gabe freaking Gross and forget about one of the best bats on your bench.
  7. Sorry for going to the game guys. I'll take the blame for this one. That brings my career record to something like 0-8 or 0-9. (At MP that is, I do have 1 win at County Stadium)
  8. 2 of 7 now, but when I typed that the Brewers hadn't quite lost yet http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I in no way was defending Turnbow's last 2 outings; they really haven't been good. I was only meaning to respond to a poster's comment saying that even when Turnbow gets a save, he can't get three straight outs....he always comes close to blowing it (something along those lines). Yes, Turnbow hasn't been doing well lately. However, all players go through ups and downs. I'm not ready yet to give up on Turnbow and say he sucks. I think when all is said and done he'll finish the year with around a 3.00 ERA or so..
  9. 1 of those 6 games was on Turnbow. If you're looking to blame someone for this losing streak, there are plenty of other players to look at other than Turnbow. And I wasn't defending his performance today, just saying that it's never fair to expect a closer to not give up 1 hit or walk in an inning.
  10. Is it really fair to ask that of him? Even the greatest of closers gives up a hit or walk per inning on average.
  11. Eh...that's the way it goes. I lost a lot of ground cuz of the pitching restrictions and my hands were tied the last week or so. That was about the best I could do, and it was close but no stogie.
  12. Well....Uecker said "it nicked him." If it wasn't a mistake, I think Bush has some control problems.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  13. Starting Lineups: Brewers Pirates Weeks, 2b Mclouth, cf Cirillo, 3b J. Wilson, ss Hall, ss Casey, 1b Lee, lf Bay, lf Fielder, 1b Burnitz, rf Hart, rf Sanchez, 3b Moeller, c Castillo, 2b Clark, cf Doumit, c Bush, p Maholm, p Good to see Corey Hart getting a start, but unfortunately it's a day game, so I guess he won't be wearing his shades. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. Wow...that sucks. What a crappy way to get knocked out of contention.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  15. Jim was interjecting some filler in between pitches, talking about how much easier it is to find stats and read about baseball now than it was 10 years ago. He then mentioned the internet, and said one of his favorite sites is Brewerfan.net. He said then, in fact, the owner of the site, Brian Kappelusch, is in attendance at the game today. That's about how I understood it. If I missed anything, I'll edit this post later once the game becomes archived on Gameday Audio.
  16. A nice plug for the site by Jim Powell....he even mentioned Brian's name and the fact that he's in attendance at the game today.
  17. There's a nice little Cirillo special on FSN right now. They're following the old uy around with cameras and asking him questions. I think it was from the series with the Cardinals several weeks back.
  18. Hey....what's the score? This computer doesn't have Java and I'm nowhere near a TV or radio. Thanks.
  19. I'm gonna go ahead and call this one. If they don't walk Jenkins, the Astros will lose. Edit: Apparently not.
