  1. I no longer plan to attend any games this season. The only team I'd want to see them play (The T-Wolves) is already done visiting the Bradley Center. What an ugly, ugly loss.
  2. So they could hang completely limp and no one would actually know what they signified? I've been to enough games to know there isn't a whole lot of wind within the stadium at any given time.
  3. I'm going to post this, because I am fairly fed up with this myth that the Bucks are terrible at drafting, and the Bulls are great at it. Since 2005 (Bogut's draft year): Bulls: 2011 1 30 Jimmy Butler 2010: No Picks 2009 1 16 James Johnson 2009 1 26 Taj Gibson 2008 1 1 Derrick Rose 2008 2 39 Sonny Weems 2007 1 9 Joakim Noah 2007 2 49 Aaron Gray 2007 2 51 Jameson Curry 2006 1 2 LaMarcus Aldridge (Traded for the immortal Tyrus Thomas and another pick) 2006 1 16 Rodney Carney 2005: No Picks Bucks: 2011 1 19 Tobias Harris 2011 2 41 Jon Leuer 2010 1 15 Larry Sanders 2010 2 37 Darington Hobson 2010 2 47 Tiny Gallon 2009 1 10 Brandon Jennings 2009 2 41 Jodie Meeks 2008 1 8 Joe Alexander 2008 2 37 Luc Richard Mbah a Moute 2007 1 6 Yi Jianlian 2007 2 56 Ramon Sessions 2006 2 39 David Noel 2005 1 1 Andrew Bogut 2005 2 36 Ersan İlyasova So, yeah, the Bucks missed on Yi and Alexander - but they weren't drafting Noah in 2007, or Brook Lopez in 2008, so there wasn't much there to be had and they went with "biggest upside", turned out, neither of them panned out. Again, it's getting the MVP in the lottery where the Bulls beat the Bucks. Instead of getting the #2 pick and Kevin Durant, the Bucks got #6 and Yi. Proof again, that in order to become a top team, they need to win the lottery and not try to play for the 8th seed every season by signing horrible free agent stopgaps.
  4. I think I am going to visit KC this year as well, on my list for sure, is the Negro Leagues Museum.
  5. By the way: The %'s on the poll, are the percentage of the total votes cast.
  6. Seriously. Han smooth talked him, then flat out wasted him.
  7. No, like Jon Leuer, Prince Luc, and Brandon Jennings. Other than Rose and Noah, the Bulls haven't drafted anyone with impact. Jimmy Butler? James Johnson? Taj Gibson? Really? Those are great first round picks? Also Noah was the #9 pick overall, not like he was some late first round pickup. Yes, Yi was a bust, but Noah was the only guy who turned out decent who was picked after Yi. You draft the MVP, everyone else looks better. Only 2 of their top 8 in mins/game are home drafted players. Taj Gibson is 9th, so that's 33%.
  8. Then we're stuck with Green in AAA and Izturis as the backup 3B/2B/SS. There is no way D-Lee happens for this reason alone. I'm almost positive the 'Crew will go with 2 guys backing up IF, 2 backing up OF and Kottaras.
  9. If I can find mine, I'd be happy to burn a copy for you (if you haven't had the offer yet).
  10. http://i.imgur.com/eJRiO.gifAs long as you feel your source is valid... I'm pretty sure that's Bill on the left. http://gifsoup.com/webroot/animatedgifs1/1285142_o.gif
  11. 1) Berggren wasn't getting anything against Sullinger inside, and he was giving Sullinger anything he wanted inside. That's why he sat the last 10 minutes of the game. They actually gave the ball to Evans on the post quite a bit, and he did well, but OSU's length really messed with the Badgers game. Guys would have position, but Evans was the only one who could reliably throw a pass inside. Brust and Gasser always had a guy 4" taller with 8" of reach on them. I really wanted Bo to try to go big at some point, play both Frankie and Berggren and see what happened, but he stuck with Brust who had an awful, awful game. 2) They are shooting 36% from three on the year. Going 18% is going to happen from time to time. Yes, it sucks when it happens in a big game, or a game when they can't pound it inside -- which is what happened vs OSU. OSU was flat out the better basketball team, when the Badgers have 1 guy who might crack their top 7, it's amazing the game was as close as it was. Oh, one other thought: If the refs are gonna let Craft do what he did to Taylor for the whole game (grab, clutch, elbow on every single ball screen/pick and roll), its going to be a long day for Wisconsin, no matter who they play.
  12. Well, Melvin's crew has been amazingly tight lipped in the past about extensions, at least, in my memory. Braun, Gallardo and Week's extensions all sort of came "out of nowhere".
  13. I avoid MS Office all together. Openoffice for me. Windows, Linux and Mac.
  14. Exactly, if they were going to use him (and pay to use him), you'd think they'd show his face.
  15. Yes, I absolutely hate this ridiculous trend. I don't know what the stupid little 'folder' icon means. Or the other one that looks like a folder. Or that third one that looks like a mouse... or wait, is that a folder?
  16. Do those even exist anymore? There were three 3B who hit more than 25 HR last year -- five if you count Miggy Cabrera and Bautista. Every time I look at the crop of current 3B in baseball, Green looks more and more valuable (and it makes me less angry with the Ramirez signing).
  17. Considering Sullinger, who almost for sure would've gone top-3 last year, might get pushed down to 7-8-9 this year, the draft is much deeper than any in the last few years.
  18. Don't worry, I'm sure they won't actually ever answer anything, and they'll just start making up new questions soon enough.
  19. He hasn't been suspended for anything in MLB. MLB only tests for "Drugs of Abuse" if they have a reasonable cause: And, Bikeage: I've had friends and family members who've dealt with addiction, and trust me, you are *always* concerned about relapse.
  20. Apparently, it took McGehee getting traded for almost nothing and not being guaranteed a job to get into shape...
  21. You can pull a half out of any team in the course of a season and they'll look like that. The Badgers looked that way against Northwestern.
  22. Deron Williams and the reigning MVP are in this conference. Jennings isn't close to either of them. Maybe he gets the nod over Rondo with Rondo being hurt, but who knows. Heck, I'd say Kyrie Irving is having a better season thus far. He's having a great year, he's finally (almost) stopped shooting 15 footers, and he's making more layups. If he improves just a bit more on the pick 'n roll, he'll move into that elite category. From the off season: He's stopped jacking that midrange jumper, but his decisions are still a little bit slow. Watch Livingston PnR, he is just so much quicker to realize, draw and dish, or simply attack than Brandon.
  23. Archer is phenomenal. I would also suggest Party Down, and an old one from the 90's: Duckman.
  24. I've never seen a player transform completely the way Frankie (yes, that is officially what I call him) does when he gets the ball. Honestly, you watch him run up and down the court, it almost looks like he's just going to trip over his own two feet... but once he catches the ball, he's just smooth. So excited for the game on Saturday. Not excited to get in line for the student seat lottery 3.5 hours before gametime. Lottery is done 3 hours before game time. Then, you are *required* to wait in line for the next 90 minutes and finally they let students in 90 minutes before game time. I don't really get that.
