0% chance. Oh wait, its already Thursday.

Gomez is just as bad a hitter as Yuni and Casey, there is no reason to put an inferior defensive player on the field. Hairston should be at 3B or SS.

It worked last night, but as others had mentioned, had Philly managed to tie it, the Cardinals only had ONE guy left in the pen. It was a long man, but still. He looks great because it happened to work but if they had failed, he would have looked like a donkey. If they don't come back, after their starter gave up 4 runs, they are down 0-2 and the series is all but over. There are times to manage for 1 game, and that was definitely one of them.

That's exactly what the guy sitting next to me said this weekend, as he got up to go pee.... and Yuni promptly tripled.

I was there yesterday, and I'd say the 6th inning was the second loudest I'd ever heard the ballpark, the loudest being the 2-3 minutes after Braun's HR to take the lead on Sunday in 2008. That could also be, because I was in the upper deck then, and the bleachers now. The "MVP" chants for Yount were awesome. The entire RF Bleachers chanting To-ny Plu-ush... when Nyjer got moved over to RF.

I was there, all by my lonesome in an aisle seat in 203. What a game. Can't wait to see the rest of the playoffs.

Row 8, I believe, is the first (or second?) row of the Terrace Reserved in that section. Then you have seats 1&2 which are right next to the high railings at the base of the stairwell. You don't see that in the picture posted, as that is from the middle of a row, looking down into the Terrace Box. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2427/3570910754_26b0ae611a.jpg You can see the railings on the bottom right of this picture, which looks to be about row 20 from section 420, I believe.

There is a 24% chance that Youk ends up in LF next year (with Crawford manning RF) JD Drew is a FA after this season. No way Youk moves to 1B and they DH Gonzalez, one of the premier defensive 1B in the game.

You are ignoring 100's of years of pitching data. This logic just doesn't happen. Even the Great Jack Morris didn't do it. I want Greinke getting as many post season starts as possible, so I want him pitching Game 1, no matter where it is played.

Amazing how much weight he lost. http://www.terezowens.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/jonah-hill.jpg

    I love Ozzie.

D-backs have the tiebreaker based on 4-3 season record vs the Brewers.
  14. Baldkin
Mark Kotsay: CF, Nyjer Morgan: LF. That is worse than the Machian: Jim Edmonds: CF, Carlos Gomez: RF.
  15. Baldkin
Someone, pretty please, tell me that Morgan is now in CF and Kotsay slid over to LF. Please.

Betancourt has a 2M buyout, or we have to pay him 6M next year. So, basically, we save 4M by not playing him, which can go to signing anyone, anyone at all who can play SS.
  17. Baldkin
I have a ticket for the game today, but my stomach isn't being cooperative. I think its because Kotsay is in CF.

You can record in HD, you just need a specific HD product, which is obviously, more expensive than other alternatives. Another option, if you simply want to burn straight to DVD would be to get a DVD recorder and go through things that way, avoiding the PC all together.

McGehee will be in his first Arby year next year, he'll probably make less than $2M, after his abysmal year this year.

Ax with save #42 consecutive. Halfway to Gange's record.

This team sure is something else. I did not think they'd come to play today after clinching last night.

The line at 1:30 or so reminds me of how the Brewers played through August. "Moving like a tremendous machine."
