  1. That's like some sort of gritty, battling, Ned Yost wet dream right there of a player. Wait, Soup can play SS?
  2. Paradise City - GNR Gallows Pole - Led Zeppelin Dream On - Aerosmith Hey Jude - Beatles Cochise - Audioslave Where It's At - Beck Dry The Rain - Beta Band War Pigs - Black Sabbath I'm sure there's more in my head
  3. Assist to turnover ratio. That is independent of time. The pace has nothing to do with it. They simply do not play sloppy. Saying the offense doesn't work and it's bad luck isn't a cop out, when it doesn't work 3 times out of 35 games this year, it really is bad luck. They had the open looks in both halves. Go back and look at it. They just consistently clanked everything the entire game.
  4. Who is now the backup CF? And seriously, no one better say Corey Hart.
  5. They should've moved Soriano to 1B this off season. That would've been the smart move. I would've been a lot more scared of them as a team then.
  6. I'll take his 1500 AB's between AAA and MLB as a better predictor over 100 ABs in a Brewer uniform.
  7. I'm pretty sure going like 3 for 800 on power plays the last 6 weeks of the season had a lot to do with it as well.
  8. WI definitely got put in the "weakest" bracket, in that, the 1-3 seeds simply aren't as good as in other brackets. But, cripes, how do they get Belmont who was getting votes to be in the top 25 this week?
  9. Good summation, although I think DiFelice is on the bubble as well. If he can get that cutter working again he has a legit shot of being in the bullpen.
  10. I really, really like Kottaras. He seemed to take a huge step forward at the plate last year, which may not show in his BA, because he was incredibly unlucky (.209 babip).
  11. Well, maybe this season Casey can act like there are RISP every time he comes up, and have a .940 OPS overall.
  12. Can people stop using this as a negative about McGehee? Who cares what kind of prospect he was? Judge him on his offensive, abilities, defensive abilities, character, and overall future potential, not on what the Cubs thought of him a few years ago.I will call this Bill Hall syndrome. A solid two seasons does not make a superstar.
  13. Always good to hear the canned vegetable garden made it through the winter.
  14. We have as good a 4th OF as most teams could ever hope for (Dickerson). I'm not really sure where the glaring weakness is. I still am baffled by the Kotsay signing, though. Get well soon, Corey.
  15. Incredibly disappointed they did nothing at the trade deadline. They should've been looking to move any dead spots on the roster... from Magette to Boykins to Dooling to... anyone and anything for picks and expirings. 2012 picks if possible.... lots of players are going to shy away from coming out in an already weak 2011 draft class.
  16. I'm sick of Haudricourt already, besides that Betancourt article the fact that in his "Position by position" thing on CF didn't even mention Chris Dickerson is just bad reporting.
  17. Gasser needs a nickname. I'm going with Goose.
  18. Leinie's Russian Imperial Stout.... is... well... pricey... but Amazing.
  19. Every single thing I've heard about him is the exact opposite. Great arm. Soft hands. Range of about a phone booth. He gets to nothing.
  20. Jonah Keri with a great writeup about the deal over at fangraphs... This could be a huge boon for the Brewers in years to come.
  21. Looks like it's a minor league deal. Once again, how the heck did Kotsay get a major league deal?
  22. Breakout: Dickerson, Weeks. I think Dickerson is the everyday CF by June, and Weeks has an MVP type season. Disappointment: Gomez, Braun.
  23. S-word? Sarasota?
  24. So, there's album of the year, record of the year and song of the year. I am still confused as to why there are 3 awards and not 2.
