OOZ plays are based on % of plays made in a given zone. They are not given any context as to where the SS was positioned before the pitch. All the shifts would easily give Yuni a ton of OOZ plays.

Jennings improved a lot at his finishing this year. It's still not good, but it's better than horrible. If he does that again next season, he could become a much better point guard. My biggest issue with him, is, it seems like he has absolutely no idea how to run a pick and roll. Its a waste on the team for them to run it. All the big has to do is show a double team and Jennings dribbles out to half court and resets, 8 seconds of the shot clock are gone. He needs to learn to attack the big when he shows, or gain the court vision to get the ball back to the guy rolling to the rim. Right now he does neither. I don't understand why it's part of the Bucks offense against good defensive teams.

Giving Gomez an extra AB a game over Morgan is way worse than any situation of putting those other 3 hitters together.

Then we'll probably end up with Hart hitting 6th and Gomez in CF hitting 2nd. Sigh.Also, I don't think Roenicke knows he can double switch. There's been about 3 times this year he's had the opportunity to and just didn't.

The worst part about Jennings is he's at his most efficient when he's getting kick outs and shooting. When he's playing along side Dooling and is almost moved to shooting guard. Not what you want to see from a PG at all.

Spending $5M on him would mean no other positional upgrades or pitching upgrades would be available by trade this season. Completely not worth it for 40ish more AB's this season (hopefully).

I know taking it himself was the only option. The problem was, any SS worth his salt who runs more than 3 steps is throwing the ball as his foot hits the bag then jumping to clear the runner. Not running to the bag, jumping and trying a mid-air throw which almost ended up bouncing into the dugout.

No, he really hasn't. He completely botched a double play today when he tried to take it himself, and he didn't cover second on a short fly to CF when Gomez could've thrown the guy out. He has a .530 OPS. Nothing he's done has been fine so far.

Does Runnin' Ron know you can double switch? It really seemed like there was a perfect opportunity to when he brought Mitre in (so he could've saved Green). I'm just a bit baffled. I don't think he's done it yet this year, and this seems like a team built to do it -- between Betancourt/Counsell and our plethora of OF's.

So, what about all the guys who did amphetamines in the 60's - 80's? They were illegal and performance enhancing and weren't against the rules of baseball. Where do you stand on them? It wasn't steroids that made guys hit 70 home runs, it was a change in the baseball, and the dilution of talent across the league. What steroids did was allow guys to play longer, and stay healthier in many cases.

His point was half of that 20M is already committed to raises to players already under contract. They already have 60M committed to 2012, not including any of the Arby salaries. Those total 13M this year, expect about a 30% increase, puts it around 18M next year. Another 3M of pre-arby guys, that puts the payroll just over 80M next season already. They really don't have much money to spend next season.

They have Saito and Braddock if Axford fails. If both of them fail.... well... the season will be for naught anyway.

So, I clicked the "watch live" button MLB has pop up... yep. Took me to the St Louis vs Pittsburgh game. Thanks for that guys. Had to reload my browser then re sign in to get Uke back. Awesome. Dear MLB, preventing people from viewing clips online, and from watching their favorite teams is diminishing your fanbase. The fact that I can't go to youtube and reminisce about the 2008 playoff run with calls from Uke and BA is archaic.

They'd have to switch leagues as well, which comes back to the "interleague every day" thing.

I'd rather that I can be in bed before midnight for the majority of Brewers road games. Wouldn't be the case in your scenario. Also, Houston is much further West than Milwaukee or Chicago.

Sad part is, he did. He completely and totally did. He should've been out.
