  1. I would argue Counsell is doing a better managing job in 2019 than 2018. Currently the Brewers are 4 games ahead of their Pythagorean, last year they finished 5 games ahead. However, much of last year's success was based on having a plus bullpen which makes life easy for a manager. This year they are still beating expectations by a similar rate despite a terrible bullpen, more injuries, and generally more adversity. He might be the only one saving this team from 75 wins.
  2. Who are these guys impersonating the Brewers? 3 singles in a row???
  3. It seems like every time the Brewers are at this point they find a way to stay in the race. I predict they win the next two and take the series.
  4. Apparently Jack White was at this game...he left after the third inning to play his show, did the show, then came back to the game in extra innings.
  5. Yeah he is such a great fit for this team in so many ways. He is under appreciated in my mind. With the struggles of Aguilar and Shaw he really saved 1b. It is crazy a few people were talking about dfa'ing him Did anyone pick Thames to be the "biggest surprise" player in the preseason predictions thread? I think he may have earned that award at this point. I'm guessing we will probably pick up his 2020 option which seemed highly unlikely at the start of the year.
  6. We probably need a final role call just so we have proof of who stuck with that one for the past six hours. I worked 2-10 today for a 6 pm start time and still had time to come home and watch the final 2 hours. I had no plans to watch tonight...checked my phone at 11-8 and assumed they lost...then got a text during the comeback so I put the radio broadcast on while I was doing some painting. Then still got to watch 5 innings!
  7. Ended at exactly the same time as the White Sox/Angels game...which was on the west coast.
  8. At least the pitcher is up now. Which means he has at least a 50/50 chance in this game
  9. Nats with a chance to tie the game and make it a dozen HR in this game.
  10. The only game I can think of that compares is 2017 World Series game 5... Houston 13 LAD 12 (10 innings) But that one only had 28 hits...this one has 37!
  11. I don't know why you would swing at the first pitch there but thanks Trey.
  12. I don't know who these announcers are but this is the first and last time I will ever listen to them.
  13. Well if Junior can throw a couple more scoreless innings we might have a chance to win when Yelich comes up again.
  14. What % of Cubs fans at Miller Park actually come from Illinois? I'm guessing more than half are Cubs fans who live in Wisconsin. Possibly 75%.
  15. My Brewers watching would probably double if all the games were on YouTube. So convenient.
  16. Hader will be the next Turnbow if he can't effectively use his breaking pitch.
