  1. That catch by Braun was insane. I'm glad I tuned in to this one.
  2. I think if both Pam and Jim left the show, it would be a better show. For the last episode I actually cared more about who won the volleyball game than Pam being pregnant. That should be the real cliffhanger.
  3. If this is the same interview that I heard on the radio the other day, then people should be warned that it's really vulgar and it will change your image of Bob Uecker. I think it's really funny, but I can understand where Bob is coming from when he got upset at Artie for sharing specific details about his life on TV. Also, Norm MacDonald is the best. That is all.
  4. On July 17, 1960 Don Newcombe was ejected before the start of the game for arguing with the umpire over the length of his shirt sleeves. He didn't even throw a pitch. Now that's funny. LINK
  5. Can you be so tired that you forget how to recite the alphabet?
  6. Billy knows he's got to hit righties or it's a one way ticket to platoonville.
  7. The way that ball sounded coming off of Corey's bat I didn't think it was going out, but it cleared the wall.
  8. I love listening to Rock talking about Boyle's Law as it relates to baseball, lol.
  9. Nice graphics pretendastronaut. I'm excited to sit down and watch this one. Hopefully the weather cooperates.
  10. Here is an article on MLB.com from Cardinal's beat writer Matthew Leach calling the Brewers "flamboyant". It's complete with a Ryan Franklin quote saying, "They've got a little flair about them that some people don't care for." The article is innocent enough, I just don't understand how everyone in Cardinals nation is suddenly up in arms about the Brewers. Are the Brewers officially the villain?
  11. I think Wes wishes he was still with Milwaukee.
  12. Uecker saying it's going to be "a little while" before the lights come back on.
  13. I know all the words to that song and I'm 26. They play it every commercial break on the channels I like to watch. Though I'm not sure why preteens would need to know what their credit rating is.
  14. Who do you currently have at 2B and can you get a replacement SS? I would probably do that in a keeper league.
  15. The point I was trying to make was that Manny likely earned some of his paycheck due to inflated stats from the use of PEDs in the first place. How much would he be worth if not for the PEDs to begin with? That's a number that will never be known, but I suspect it's less than the $200 million that he's earned (minus the $7 million).
  16. I'm not sure any of those 3 pitches Braun took a swing at were in the strike zone.
  17. The umpire had cocked his arm and was just about to call Weeks out until he saw the ball pop out. So it would seem that the reason he was called safe was because of a dropped ball, not because Weeks beat the throw. That was a bad call at third with Micah Owings, BTW.
  18. Bill Hall was not a good CF and is for that same reason probably not a good LF or RF. He made some pretty hideous plays out there in CF, mostly getting bad reads on flyballs off the bat. Yes he spent the better part of a year out there, but that doesn't mean he is a quality outfielder (see Ryan Braun at 3B). http://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/2f03502795ca834868a1c9e33171aa2d7e8a5e9.pjpg
  19. That's $7 million from the $207 million he'll have earned in his career from salary alone once the 2010 season is over. To me that doesn't seem to be significant especially if PEDs helped him earn most of that money.
  20. Manny went to Florida and got a prescription from a doctor who was unaware of what is and is not tolerated by baseballs steroid policy. To me this sounds like Manny going out of his way to obtain PEDs. I hope he just apologizes and moves on instead of pretending like he didn't know what he was doing. EDIT: I agree about Peter Gammons. He can't be that ignorant to constantly buy into these players excuses.
  21. "You know, it's kind of half fun........and half not." - Jeff Brantley
