  1. Maybe next year. You do you. I'm rooting for the guy every single at bat. Good for you. What do you want? A cookie?
  2. Yeah offense has been just ok since the last game of the Cubs series. Need to wake the heck up.
  3. People paid good money to watch this crap. What a shame.
  4. We have to face another bum lefty on Sunday. Ugh.
  5. It looks like we’re facing 2018 Corbin out there. I know it makes sense to stack up RH bats against LH starters but that hasn’t been working out very well this year. Maybe try something different and just put your best bats out there.
  6. Anderson looks good so far but offense struggling again against a lefty starter.
  7. No more Scherzer or Strasburg. We should be able to score some runs this weekend. Soto and maybe Bell are about the only guys in their lineup these days that scare me. Don’t have to sweep but it would be nice.
  8. Could really use a 7+ inning game from Woody tonight or an offensive explosion would do the trick too. I'd be a little nervous going into the late innings with a slim lead.
  9. Regarding the NL East, I see the Braves running away with that division a bit. The Mets absolutely stink right now and they are in the middle of a brutal schedule. And I just don’t see it with Philly. Maybe they get hot and overtake the Braves but I think Atlanta ends up winning that division with some cushion. A Brewers-Braves NLDS would make for a pretty good matchup I would think.
  10. Or, you know, they could lose to the Cubs 24 hours after you posted this ... LOL Its baseball. There are very few absolutes. I was going for the reverse jinx there. LOL
  11. Yeah that's going to go over real well with his players. Makes you appreciate Mark A, Stearns, etc and how well they run the Brewers.
  12. Let's say the Pirates go 38-5 to close it out. That would put them right at 80 wins. Brewers would have to go 7-36 for the Pirates to catch them and win the division outright. Of course, the Pirates would also have to hope that the Reds, Cardinals and Cubs all go on epic losing streaks too so it's probably unlikely this is the year for the Pirates.
  13. We just can’t get rid of Molina and Wainwright, can we? These guys are almost 40 and still effective. Anyway, the Cardinals have just an OK bullpen so if we can get Wainwright’s pitch count up early and get to their pen, I like our chances.
  14. I would certainly think Valerio has earned a promotion at this point. He hits for average, has some power and he's walked more than he's struck out. Get this man to Wisconsin!
  15. It’s completely possible the Reds don’t lose to the Cubs or Pirates once more the rest of the season. The Cubs played the Reds pretty tough tonight and were still down 4-0 through 6 innings and now it’s 11-0. Not only are these teams bad, but they are in full tank mode trying to get the highest draft pick possible. The Reds must be licking their chops right now.
  16. About half of our remaining games are against the Cardinals, Giants and Dodgers (20 games). If we go around .500 or even slightly below in those games we should be just fine. The rest of the teams we play include the Twins, Cubs, Nationals, Tigers, etc which are all very winnable series.
  17. That’s what I was thinking too. You could also see some sort of Lauer/Houser tandem start and then Ashby start the other game.
  18. They have three against the Reds starting tomorrow so hopefully they win a couple and then they can go back to losing again.
  19. The transition from Carolina to Wisconsin has been pretty seamless for Wiemer. 3 for 3 with another homerun so far today.
