I think that was actually the first time Escobar has grounded out. The rest have been line-outs or fly-outs.

Very slowly but surely, it looks like Gamel might be coming out of his horrendous slump. In his last 26 at-bats, he has 9 hits and 6 RBI's.

I can't believe how crappy our bullpen has been lately.

I don't think it's scheduled, but it's not unusual for him to get a day off or even a couple days off in a row.

Rivas pitched well. 7 IP, 4 SO, 13 ground ball outs, 2 ER. Schafer with another outfield assist.

Don't you think Melvin would have told Macha that Escobar needs to start almost everyday? Doesn't Melvin have some say as to who is in the line-up?

It's Gamel all over again. Why bring up Escobar if he's only going to start against LH pitchers? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Exactly Nate. I'm not disagreeing with the move, just saying Hardy must be really pissed right now, regardless if he deserves to be sent down or not.

Everybody is calling for Melvin's head, but how do we know Mark A. isn't calling the shots here? Like somebody else said, Mark A. could have told Melvin to do something drastic to light a fire under this team or else leave.

Holy crap. I can't keep up with all these threads. JJ has to be steaming mad right now to be sent down to AAA, unless there is a trade in the works that we don't know about. We'll see what happens. Wow, what a crazy morning.

Wow, what a night for Lasker. Barring injuries, I have a feeling Bucci, Lasker, and Odorizzi will be a lot of fun to watch in Appleton next year. And yes Louis, I would consider joining that bandwagon.

When is the right time to sit Kendall??

A lot of us have been asking this question for awhile now and we should all just accept the fact that Kendall won't be sitting on the bench for an extended period of time. I'm hoping Salome gets some starts in September if we are out of the race, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.
