This team hasn't been the same since Woodruff and Mitchell got hurt. Not that Mitchell is some perennial all-star, but he did provide a nice spark.

Freeman is a friggin nightmare to deal with.
  3. wibadgers23
He's holding his own as a 19 year old in AA but it also feels like he's teetering on the edge of really struggling. We'll see which direction he goes throughout the year.

Hoping for a big week from Chourio. He's due. That would surely lift my baseball spirits after a dreadful week last week with the Brewers.
  5. wibadgers23
I think the more appropriate question is will he make contact?
  6. wibadgers23
Should be really interesting with those guys coming off. Chourio is obviously #1 but then it gets weird and wild from there.
  7. wibadgers23
    Future DH or 1B maybe?
  8. wibadgers23
Chourio 0-5 but how did he look at the plate? Any loud contact? I like that the strikeouts appear to be trending downward.

Hard to believe we're middle of the pack in homeruns, considering we've gotten nothing out of Voit, Contreras and Winker in that department.

Great...another lefty with a huge ERA. Already preparing myself...

I’m really starting to enjoy following this Guilarte kid in Carolina. There are a lot of gnarly batting averages in that Carolina lineup but Guilarte has been on base machine. Seems like an exciting player. Also, I think it might be time for Wood to head to Appleton.

Nice night for Chourio. Two hits and two walks.

If there is one constant with this team, it is struggling against left-handed pitching. Doesn’t matter if that pitcher is Madison Bumgarner in his prime or some random AAAA pitcher.

    That cutter is nasty tonight.
  16. wibadgers23
How are we still this bad against lefties? I feel like this has been ongoing for years now.

Good lord. Get Brosseau out of the game and never let him play 3B again. How many more errant throws does he have to make before they realize he’s absolute garbage out there?
  18. wibadgers23
Facing three lefty starters this weekend? Yikes.
  19. wibadgers23
What’s the story on Guilarte? Should I be excited? Putting up some nice numbers in the lead off spot for Carolina. Just 19 years old.
  20. wibadgers23
Agreed completely. I understand your catcher needs a day off here and there but not every few days. Heck, put him at DH when he needs a day off. He needs to be in the damn lineup.

At worst, Frelick will be a September call up whether or not the Brewers are contending. Just to get his feet wet.
  22. wibadgers23
This is the worst. Two of your top prospects going down for large chunks of time basically at the same time.
  23. wibadgers23
Monterrey might be a better overall option. 2nd largest city in Mexico and is closer to the U.S. than Mexico City so travel wouldn't be as bad.
  24. wibadgers23
Seems like an extremely team-friendly deal. Wow.
  25. wibadgers23
Hopefully Frelick returns sometime this week.
