    The Twins and Cubs should be required to start every year on a week road trip. I'm just glad they're going to get the game in. Original forecast called for rain.

    Mitchell and Turang are big question marks but this certainly feels like a deeper lineup than last year, particularly with Brosseau, Voit and Miller coming off the bench.

    Frelick or Wiemer will almost certainly be up in mid-April once service time is no longer an issue. There's no way they're going to roll with Miller and Anderson in the outfield for an extended period of time.

    So Anderson in RF, Turang at 2B, Urias at 3B. Anderson shifts to 3B and Urias to 2B against lefties.

    Really happy for Turang. Was drafted in 2018 and has spent 4 seasons in the minor leagues, including all year at AAA last year. Time to see what this kid can do.

    I'm thinking they go with Miller over Wiemer, especially if they're comfortable with Anderson playing RF until Taylor is back. Just a hunch.

    Really wish we had some stats on these games. Not that it matters but curious how some of these guys are looking so far. I thought they might start Chourio out in A+ but it really does seem like he'll start the year in Biloxi, along with Quero.

    Dillard seems like a really good dude but I’m not a fan of him as a broadcaster either.

    Isn't BA only doing like 30 games this year? Seems like we've almost reached the end the BA/Rock era.

    Yes on Burnes and Adames. Still have hope they can get something done with Woody but that is starting to fade.

    Winker absolutely should not even sniff the outfield grass. That would be a disaster.

    Yeah Italy doesn't start playing games until next Thursday.

    Couldn't agree more. AAA is a pretty short stint for most top prospects. Braun played 34 games in AAA. Heck, Mitchell only played 20 games in AAA last year and he appears to be slated for an OD roster spot. Also, it's not like Frelick struggled in those 46 games. He put up very good numbers.

    The only reason Frelick would start the year in AAA over Naquin is for service time purposes, not because Naquin is any better. Frelick is obviously MLB ready. I think Frelick gets the call sometime in May.

    Pretty sure it's pronounced like FREE-lick. There's a handy thread in the minor league forums with a number of pronunciations.

    And they’ll probably offer Soto a similar or even more expensive extension than Machado’s. Absolutely crazy.

    I really don't care what some stupid judge decides. Burnes could have gotten 3X the amount on the open market so yes, I would say his requested amount was more than reasonable.

    I understand what people are saying about the arbitration hearing and all of the ugliness that comes with it, but this should never have gone to a hearing in the first place. The Brewers had every opportunity to meet Burnes' asking price which was extremely reasonable.
